SBK - THE SUPERBIKE 2010 TESTS BEGIN |

The first tests with the new Superbike formations for 2010 are being held at Portimao.
On the track, where the top teams are testing their riders, there were some new faces, some familiar and some making a great comeback such as James Toseland, who took over Spies’ Yamaha and Vermeulen for Kawasaki.
There was a noteworthy first crash for Cal Crutchlow, Yamaha’s newly crowned Supersport world champion, who has now switched to Superbike for the same team.
The British rider underwent an X-ray exam which came out negative for a contusion to his right hipbone.
Update on the condition of Ruben Xau, who fractured his tibia: the head SBK doctor, Massimo Corbascio, is in contact with the BMW doctor and the Spanish medics who have decided not to operate on the Spanish rider but to apply a plaster cast with a jointed knee.
