GP – LOCATELLI’S OPERATION -UPDATE |

Roberto Locatelli underwent the operation on his right wrist at the Republic of San Marino hospital today. It was carried out by Dr. Oliviero Soragni, with the assistance of Dr. Costa.
His fractured scaphoid was fitted with a hi-tech screw called HSC.
The same type of device was applied to Simoncelli’s wrist last April before the Qatar race.
Marco Simoncelli jokingly called the screw ‘SIC’.
The rider was released from hospital in the evening.
On Sunday he will start a course of physiotherapy to help him prepare for the last GP of the season in Valencia.
