Garage Contest 2005
Corso Buenos AiresOnce again this year we have been lucky with the weather and the event took place in the sunshine. The participation of so many Ducatisti, especially clubs from the Lombardia region, helped to make the event a success. Despite it being held over a national holiday, we doubled the number of motorcyclists registerecd for the competition and there were many fans there simply to enjoy the occasion. Thanks to the sponsors - AVNET, HIPOWER, FOOD & TRADE e DUCATIMILANO - it was possible to provide fans with t-shirts, free copies of MotoHIPOWER and EMMENTALER cheese tastings. In the Superbike category, the prize went to a 749R belonging to a member of Ducati Ticino club while in the Historic category, the prize went to a MH900 owned by a passionate fan from Genoa. The Monster prize was awarded to a Ducatista from the Lazio region. As ever, the event would not have been the same without the participation of Giancarlo Falappa, who judged the competition. The success of this event means that even more bikers will be able to register for DUCATI FANATIC in 2006, the event will take place on Sunday 30th October 2006. As the event is planned so far in advance, it becomes a true Ducati Day, as Clubs from near and far have already pledged to take part. The programme is enriched by:
-Ducati bike tests, particularly for "motorcyclists", a sort of short course with instructors;
-minimoto with an area especially set up for this activity;
-GarageContest: a new format with prizes awarded in the morning and afternoon;
-procession through the city: one in the morning and one in afternoon.
Thanks to the support of all the fans we can really bring the Milan Ducati Day to life!
