NETHERLANDS BUYES DREAMMACHINE
Ducatistore Rotterdam turned into a crowded house as Harm Heuvelman
from Ducati Rotterdam handed over the keys of the DCN Desmosedici to
chairman Ron Weber. Almost 200 members, of the 4200 available, gave
presence to a memorable moment for the largest Ducaticlub in the world.
The 8th of March 2008 will be known as the day that the Ducaticlub
Nederland became owner of the most desirable Ducati ever. At a
members meeting in 2007, the presidence did a proposal to buy a
Desmosedici. The meeting agreed and the next step was to place the
order and to give all Dutch dealers the opportunity to make an offer
for delivering the GP- replica. Ducati Rotterdam made an
offer, based on transport through the whole country, and became the
lucky one to sell the D16 RR.
From now on the superb bike is for rent, but only exlusively for
members of the Dutch Ducaticlub. All 1500 bikes available are sold out
but for the members of the DCN there is still the chance to get that
kind of ‘Stoner feeling’. The moment that chairman
Ron Weber started the engine became very special as two members of the
club, Koen van Trojen en Michiel Molenaar, came along with their own
Desmosedici. Three most wanted Ducatis ever, lined up. When
will we see a moment like that again? It was just awsome!
