Carl and his wife Michaela celebrated the wedding of GSE Ducati rider Neil Hodgson to Kathryn Hoare at the weekend. The Fogartys attended the ceremony and the reception at the Inn at Whitewell, near Neil's home of Burnley.
Also in attendance was new world champion Troy Bayliss, with his wife Kim, Neil's team-mate James Toseland, James Whitham and wife Andrea, former GP star Niall Mackenzie, and Britsh Superbike rider James Haydon.
Carl said, "It was a great day, but a long day! I tried to pace myself with the drinks but it didn't quite work out that way. I've known Neil a long time and of course we were team-mates in 1997 for Ducati. I'm really happy for them both and wish them all the best."
Also staying with Carl for the weekend was his former mechanic Slick Bass. Another guest at the Fogarty house this week will be Ducati star Ruben Xaus, who will be taking the chance to visit Blackburn after attending the Bike Show at the NEC on Thursday. Carl, however, will be unable to attend this year because he is still in a cast up to his knee following his leg break five weeks ago.
