New challenges are taken on, with the production of new and technologically advanced models, including the Multistrada 1200, which first appeared in 2010 before evolving over subsequent years, developing the concept of versatility expressed by the "four bikes in one"; the Diavel, which marked Ducati's entry into a completely new segment and, later, into the cruiser world thanks to its evolution, the XDiavel; and the new family of Superbikes that was launched with the highly appreciated and prize-winning 1199 Panigale.
Adding to these new models is the Scrambler, totally renewed and making its return to the scene enhanced by a desire for freedom and self-expression that it finds in the Land of Joy, its most natural context.
The 2010 years also see ownership of the company pass from Investindustrial to Audi, Claudio Domenicali - already a renowned manager in the racing world, having contributed also to the development of certain company products - becomes CEO, and commercial/production activities get underway in foreign markets such as Brazil and Thailand.
The Ducati community also takes on an increasingly international outlook, enhanced by the network of Desmo Owners Clubs (there are currently 250 clubs across the five continents) and ready to meet up every two years at World Ducati Week, which, created in 1988, reconfirms with each edition the great passion that lives in the hearts of all ducatisti.
