2008 DDC: A SEASON FULL OF SURPRISES
After a spectacular 2007 season with 137 registered riders, the Ducati Desmo Challenge, the exclusive Ducati trophy organised by Ducati Motor Holding S.p.A., is ready to go for 2008 with exciting news and additions.
The opportunity to compete in the Supersport category with the Ducati 848 is accompanied by the introduction of a brand-new category dedicated to pure fun: the Hypermotard category!

The participation classes for this year are Superbike (Open 4 Valves), Protwins (Open 2 Valves), Ducati Superstock, Ducati Supersport (749 and 848), SportClassic and Hypermotard.
The new official tyre supplier for this year is Pirelli who is giving a free set of tyres to every absolute class winner at each race.

The 2008 races will take place at some of the most famous circuits like Vallelunga, Magione and the legendary Mugello track. The first two races will be held at Magione (April 12th-13th) and Varano (May 10th-11th) - sign up soon to guarantee your spot on the starting grid!

Subscriptions, Prices and Prizes!
The registration cost is fixed at 2200 Euro + VAT, excluding the SportClassic class whose cost is 1800 Euro + VAT. There is a 50% (non cumulative) discount for women. The registration form can be downloaded from www.ducati.com and www.motoitaliane.it. Included in the registration cost are a day of free practice before the race, free practice sessions and enrolment in all races, a gadget at the end, various benefits, a welcome kit and a free set of tyres.
The Ducati Desmo Challenge has monetary prizes for each of the six classes that will be divided between the absolute winners in the final classifications, as well as the Ducati Store and Ducati Owners Club absolute winners in the final classification of the six classes.

There are separate classifications for numerous categories such as women, riders over 45 years old and rookies.
In addition to the cup, there will also be surprises like a Ducati rider offering their congratulations on the podium. At the end, there will be a special final ceremony with Ducati riders and personalities.

Racing in the Ducati Desmo Challenge means joining a family of passionate Ducatisti. The friendly paddock atmosphere follows the philosophy of the DDC – that all bike lovers enjoy themselves in a safe environment.
During the event, there are special events organised like aperitifs at Ducati Hospitality, soccer games or concerts and opportunities to test Ducati models in the paddock as well as the track. Through these, riders and their families have the chance to get to know one another and exchange helpful advice.
