OVER 3,000 DUCATISTI CELEBRATE STONER’S OUTSTANDING VICTORY AT MUGELLO
Three days of pure adrenalin at the Italian GP at Mugello concluded on Sunday 31st May with a heart-stopping race, leaving fans with memories to tell their grandkids about.

The race was absolutely amazing from start to finish thanks to the rapidly changing track conditions, going from wet to dry just a few laps after the green light. Despite all this, Casey Stoner succeeded in claiming the victory on one of the most challenging but incredible days of his career so far, providing thrills for the fans seated in the Ducati Grandstand.

Set up on the fantastic Correntaio corner, one of the most exciting spots on the track, the Ducati Grandstand formed the beating, bright red heart of Mugello, coloured by the thousands of caps and T-shirts worn by all the ticket holders.
The choreography, organised as usual by the experts of the Rome Desmodromic Club, definitely helped bring the Grandstand to life and ensured it was brimming with passion, creating a show in the best spirit of torcida: the enormous Italian flag made up of cards held aloft by 3000 fans.

But that’s not all; the Ducatisti also paid tribute to the ‘father’ of the Desmosedici, Filippo Preziosi, with a banner displayed on the Grandstand declaring: “Tutti i Ducatisti sono Preziosi” (all Ducatisti are precious, preziosi in Italian). The banner was handed to Preziosi at the end of the race in the Ducati MotoGP Team’s pit garage and Filippo Preziosi has personally thanked the fans through the Desmoblog.
The Ducati Grandstand’s next outing is set for Laguna Seca on 5 July, while for the next Italian round we’ll have to wait until 6 September when the engines will be roaring around the other steaming Italian track on the world championship calendar: Misano.
