a day full of passion
Ducati fans thronged to the company’s Bologna HQ on Sunday 25 October to watch the Superbike race from Portimao, which could have seen Ducati Xerox team’s Noriyuki Haga crowned as SBK World Champion.

Sadly our very own samurai didn’t make it, and missed out on the rider’s title by just six points following a crash in Race 1 and a podium place in the second session. The factory team, which had already won the manufacturer’s title, kept on pushing right through to the last lap of the last race but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to beat the Yamaha rider Ben Spies, who on the other hand achieved his goal of claiming the world championship.

Despite missing out on the rider’s title, the two races provided entertainment and excitement for all the Ducatisti who had come to show their support and love for the Bologna-made machines. They were able to follow the action on a big screen located in the auditorium and visit the Ducati museum between races.

Thanks for everything guys, better luck next time!
