Ducati Owners Clubs world ambassador of road security
On 29 September 2006 Ducati joined the European Road Safety Charter, a programme which encourages specific actions and increased awareness in order to reduce the number of victims on the roads.
By signing, Ducati committed itself to spreading and sharing good road safety practice, taking part in the EU objective of halving the number of fatal road traffic accidents by the end of 2010.

As well as promoting the use of helmets and appropriate protective clothing, our aim is to raise awareness of these themes within the motorcycling community, encouraging responsible motorcycle riding and implementing activities to improve riding and emergency skills, especially in dangerous conditions.
In support of its commitment and to achieve the EU objectives which this campaign has set itself, Ducati has asked its Official Clubs to become ambassadors for road safety. The aim is to share, both within and beyond the motorcycling community, the values of road safety, highlighting and promoting the good practices which the individual Clubs apply during their activities.
All Clubs are therefore invited to write to us at club@ducati.com and tell us about the various activities which they intend to organise in support of this important initiative. In return Ducati is committed to publicizing them, so that they can become common practices for everyone.
You will soon be able to view an online list of all the individual Official Club road safety initiatives.
