The DDC is back and better
than ever, with a programme of events which will satisfy the expectations and
wishes of fans and riders thanks to a winning combination of competition, teaching,
entertainment and promotion over five dates.
The Ducati Desmo Challenge
days will be held at the most important racetracks in Italy and will take the
same form as in previous years, when the Ducati single-brand trophy truly
became one of a kind, guaranteeing participants exclusive use of the tracks with
two-days rounds for senior (‘gentlemen') riders.
The three traditional
categories: Superbike, Superstock and Pro Twins have been maintained.
In 2010, Pro Twins, the
category reserved for Stock version Hypermotard bikes, will include the brand
new
Hypermotard 1100EVO and
EVO SP versions as well as the
Monster
1100 and
1100S, to create a new, winning class:
"Desmodue Stock", the regulations for which are still being drawn up.
Lastly, as in past editions, the
Ducati 848 will have its own special classification.
Two of the trophy races will
be held in conjunction with another Ducati event, the "Ducati World
Experience" an amazing weekend which includes Desmo Club gatherings, test
rides on new 2010 Model Year Ducatis, the Desmo Village meeting point with
hospitality, refreshments, entertainment and also the Ducati Riding Experience
with its renowned riding courses for beginners and experienced riders alike who
want to improve their performance on the road and track.
2010 also sees the most
eagerly awaited event in the Ducati world, the huge rally which attracts
motorcyclists and fans of all ages from around the globe: the
World Ducati Week which will take place from
10-13 June 2010 at the Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico near Rimini.
Four days of getting together, fun and bikes, during which the Ducati Desmo
Challenge racers will, like in 2007, enjoy the thrill of speeding away in front
of thousands of spectators.
The calendar:
17-18 April, Magione Racetrack
11-12-13 June, Misano Racetrack - in conjunction with the WDW2010
26-27 June, Imola Racetrack
17-18 July, Mugello International Racetrack
