FIAMM Spa to be official sponsor of the Team SBK Ducati Alstare


An agreement signed for 2013 – 2014 with the SBK Ducati Alstare team which will officially represent the Bologna firm in the Superbike World Championship.

FIAMM Spa has consolidated its close link with the racing world by formalizing the sponsorship and partnership agreement with Ducati Motor Holding Spa for the 2013 and 2014 World Superbike championships too.

"This accord is an important step and further reinforces the relationship that has bound FIAMM to Ducati for two years as technical sponsor of the official MotoGP team. The sponsorship of the SBK Ducati Alstare Team that officially represents the Borgo Panigale firm in the World SBK Championship is a confirmation of the historical link between FIAMM and the world of motors and racing. This is also due to the commitment to Italy's iconic motorbike manufacturer, empowered by the new series of motorbike batteries bearing the Ducati brand and produced under licence," declares Mr Nicolò Gasparin, director of the FIAMM Starter & Mobility Power Solutions business unit.

As official sponsor, the FIAMM brand will be visible on the Ducati 1199 Panigale R ridden by the SBK Ducati Alstare Team, on the racing suits of Carlos Checa and Ayrton Badovini and on all the team's clothing.
The Vicenza-based multinational's logo will also be present on the team vehicles and on the team hospitality truck.

The FIAMM Group, founded in 1942, produces and distributes accumulators for automobile ignitions and industrial use (UPS - uninterrupted power supply, energy storage) accumulators with Sodium-Nickel technology for Energy Storage and automotive applications and acoustic signals. The group is now present in 60 countries with about 3,300 employees worldwide and about 1200 in Italy. The 2012 turnover amounted to a value of approximately 540 million Euro. The main markets served are Italy (26%) and the rest of Europe (51%), where direct sales to auto manufacturers represent about 30% of the turnover.
