After being already a protagonist in its debut season - challenging for the title with Leandro Mercado and taking 3 wins and 6 podiums overall - the Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team presented its campaign for the 2017 European Superstock 1000 where, in partnership with Feel Racing, it will field the promising young duo comprised of Michael Ruben Rinaldi and Mike Jones on board the Panigale R.

Both riders recently concluded two positive tests in Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) and Portimão (Portugal), and enthusiastically await their debut race, scheduled for April 2 in Aragon (Spain). Rinaldi, born in 1995, is ready to put to fruition the experience gained last year as a rookie - when he took two podiums - to aim consistently at the podium.
Jones, born in 1994, is also keen to be a protagonist since the very first race based on the feedback he gathered during the winter tests.

Michael Ruben Rinaldi - (Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team #12)
"The winter tests went quite well, I got to meet my new crew and we instantly found a good chemistry, starting our path on the right foot. Compared with last year, we're focusing more on pace, especially for the second part of races, which has been somewhat a weak point in the past. This winter I ‘studied', watching all the races again and again to learn from my mistakes. We're ready to start again, with a different mentality, even though the race results are the only true benchmark.

Mike Jones - (Aruba.it Racing - Junior Team #57)
"My debut with the team went really well. I'm pleased with the outcomes of our tests, and I have to say it was quite easy to get acquainted with the team, everyone is so professional. I raced with the Panigale R in the past in the Australian SBK championship and, despite the different technical specs, it wasn't difficult to adapt to the bike. The electronics, in particular, are so advanced and represent another weapon in our arsenal. Now we'll work on fine-tuning, and I can't wait to race in Aragon."

Stefano Cecconi - (Aruba S.p.A CEO):
"We're really keen to start racing again. The Junior Team project is important to us. We scored many good results in our debut year, which means we took the right path. Of course, we would all have liked to seize the title, but we learned from our mistakes and we're ready to take it to the track again, with even more determination."

Daniele Casolari - (Feel Racing Owner):
"As I said already, the satisfaction of having challenged for the title until the very last race in our debut year is smaller than our desire for redemption. So, we took upon this new challenged with even more enthusiasm, to grow young talents and finish the job we started last season. The winter tests gave us good feedback: Mike quickly adapted to the bike and the team, and Michael gave a strong signal in terms of both speed and pace. We have all the necessary tools to win races and aim at the title."
