Discover more highlights of your adventure below.

What to expect on Day 1

Morning: Melbourne to Noojee via Longwarry/Gembrook

Kick start your high country adventure with a coffee in Gembrook or Longwarry before taking an invigorating ride through the verdant fern gullies of Bunyip State Park. Here you can ride on the gravel roads around Labertouche and Gentle Annie, then snap a picture at Lawsons Falls before heading to Neerim and back onto the highway.

Ride to Noojee for a relaxed lunch at a country pub or café, and we recommend taking the short walk to the historic and beautiful Noojee Trestle Bridge.

Afternoon: Noojee to Yarra Valley via Warburton

With lunch taken care of, venture upwards into the nature preserves around Mount Horsfall for some light trail riding as you skirt your way through elevated parklands on your way to the start of the Yarra River. Then weave through the eucalypt forests around Cambarville, where we suggest a quick pit stop at the Cambarville Picnic Ground. From here, you’re only a short distance from one of the picturesque waterfalls at Armstrong Lookout, Cumberland Falls, or Cora Lynn Falls.

An exciting ride through the Yarra Ranges National Park takes you on the alpine roads through Reefton, where the lookout delivers incredible views across the forests and gullies below. The final sections of the day include a short ride to Warburton for afternoon tea, then into the heart of the iconic Yarra Valley, where you’ll park up for the night.

In the Yarra Valley, we recommend sampling incredible local wine and produce at Eleonore’s or The Stables, and relaxing in effortless comfort at one of Yering or Coldstream’s boutique retreats or farmsteads.
