Ducati ApprovedThe goal was ambitious: to cross Eurasia to the heart of Asia, along the legendary Silk Road. We passed through Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria and Turkey, then pushed through the mountains of Georgia and the vast spaces of Russia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.
Stage after stage, kilometer after kilometer, the landscape transformed along with the road: from perfect asphalt to endless dirt roads, to the endless potholes of the Pamirs. In Kyrgyzstan I said goodbye to the group and continued alone. In China and Tibet I tackled eight passes above 5,000 meters. But nothing took my breath away like the moment when, from Everest North Base Camp, I saw the world's highest peak silhouetted just a few kilometers away from me.
