Xavi Forés ended seventh in race 2

Bad luck affected the Barni Racing Team's rider Xavi Forés in his home round this weekend at Jerez de la Frontera. The Spaniard was seventh in race 2 but he was penalized again by a red flag deployed due to a crash which involved Davies (Ducati) and Laverty (Aprilia) at lap 1.

Started from the sixth place Forés moved well and he was third when the red flag, as it happened yesterday, stopped the race. The Spaniard had a great start again with his Ducati Panigale R, but he didn't managed to stay in the leading group and he was moved down to the seventh place. In the last few laps, struggling with Guintoli (Kawasaki), Forés secured his position until the checkered flag. Thanks to the ninth place of race 1 and the seventh of today, the Barni Racing Team's weekend has drawn to a close with 16 points, which leads Forés at 185, maintaining the seventh place in the overall Championship Standings.

Marco Barnabò, Principal Manager
«Even if we was unlucky with the races stopped twice, i'm satisfied for the results. On friday we were 15th, but we were able to find quickly a good setup. Because of this i'm happy, in race 2 Xavi could ride comfortably on the bike and he was fast. I have to congratulate both the rider and the team».

Xavi Forés, #12
«Unfortunately the red flag penalized me even today, but the result is better than yesterday. At the beginning of the race i had the same race pace of the official riders and when my rhythm became slower i was able to defend my position. I would have been to finish a bit closer to the leading group but the most important thing is that the bike was improved a lot from race 1».
