TROY BAYLISS RIDER OF THE YEAR 2008
Bologna, 10th December 2008 – Bologna’s “Teatro delle Celebrazioni” was the venue for Caschi D’Oro 2008 awards ceremony, an event organised by the Italian magazine MotoSprint, with the presentation of prestigious awards to the respective world champions across the various motorcycle categories.

After years of MotoGP domination of this prize, the Top Rider award 2008 went to a Ducati Superbike icon. Troy Bayliss – the Australian rider, three-times World Champion for Ducati (2001-2006-2008) – monopolised the readers’ vote to easily win the trophy.
