This last race of the DDC 2007 edition will take place at the Santamonica racetrack in Misano Adriatica on October 5th,
6th and 7th.
DUCATI DESMO CHALLENGE 2007
The Ducati Desmo Challenge 2007 is the sporting event that Ducati dedicates to its clientele. It is a community of
riders and enthusiasts who gather together for one weekend in a common environment to share their passion.
The 2007 edition is composed of 6 races, one of which is foreign. The Challenge is divided into 5 classes:
Superbike (Open Ducati 4 Valves), Protwins (Open Ducati 2 Valves), Ducati Superstock (models: 999 base, 999s, 1098),
Supersport (Open 748 and 749 – all models) and Sport Classic (Sport 1000 and Paul Smart).
WINNING INGREDIENTS
The Ducati Desmo Challenge 2007 appeals to all riders and fans with the same ingredients that have made it such a
stunning success year after year: race tracks booked for exclusive use, five classes of which three are Open,
and shows and entertainment for spectators. More than this, the Challenge is an event for the entire family:
ladies can attend the riding school to improve their skills on the new Monster 695 and kids can attend the
Trial school, while more experienced riders can take to the track and try out the very latest Ducati models.
You can also take a trip around the paddock to see the best customized bikes of the moment. As always, all are
welcome to share in the rituals and rites of the Ducati community and its inspirational passion for engines and bikes.
EXTRAORDINARY YEAR!
This year's event was even more enthralling due to some fantastic new additions. The first, and most important,
was undoubtedly the race in Misano on June 28 - 30, which ran in conjunction with the legendary WDW2007, Ducati's
official international gathering which, this year, had a record attendance. Riders had the chance to race on a
renovated circuit in front of 50,000 Ducatisti who came to experience the joys of the WDW, creating a party atmosphere
full of a shared passion for bikes. Other news is the DDC event which took place on July 22 at the Pannonia circuit in
Hungary, where famous races, including the historic Ducati Speed Week and the thrilling European Supertwins, were held
at the same time. Once again, fans were not disappointed and there were thousands of spectators from across Europe
present to cheer for the riders. Aside from awarding the European title of the Desmo Challenge, the European race also
awardied points for the Italian trophy. All of this has made the Ducati Desmo Challenge 2007 even more thrilling, and
