INTRODUCTION The Ducati Desmo Challenge offers the thrill of being a single brand champion to all Ducati enthusiasts holding an elite or equivalent motorcycle license. Six races on six dates on four different Italian race tracks, plus one other famous European circuit: it's a fantastic opportunity for a 100% Ducati racing experience. Experts will be on hand to help you perfect your riding style and make the appropriate tires choices, while a team of mechanics will be ready and waiting to suggest the best new technical solutions. The fifth stage of the Ducati Desmo Challenge will run on the weekend of the 22 July at Pannoniaring (Hungary), where the races will be also open to European wild cards and will be valid for points awarded for the DDC European title in various categories. On the same occasion, but for separate entrants, the edition of Ducati Speed Week and a race of the European Supertwins will also be held. This category is open to all Ducati models of any year mounted with twin valve engines. As in all Open categories, the rules allow for the use of special models and authorize the use of any frame and modifications relating to the original model, provided that it is mounted with a twin valve Ducati engine. Notwithstanding the relative absence of restrictions, motorcycles are subject to the general rules published by the FMI for open classes. A further subdivision of this category is foreseen for "naked" models. This category is open to all four valve Ducati models of any year. As in all Open categories, the rules allow for the use of special models and authorize the use of any frame and modifications relating to the original model, provided that it is mounted with a Ducati engine. In this class, some ready to race Ducati 749Rs are available through the hire formula option and will be awarded through a random draw. Ducati 999 models from 2005 and 2006, 999s models from 2003 to 2006 and the 1098 model from 2007 are eligible. The rules for Superstock bikes are the same as those issued by the FMI, with exceptions. Ducati Paul Smart Limited Edition and Sport 1000 models are eligible. The technical rules are the same as Superstock, with exceptions.
