Octo Pramac Racing

Pramac Racing made its debut in MotoGP World Championship in 2002 and for two years in a row was called Pramac Honda Racing. Tetsuya Harada was the first Pramac Racing rider aboard his Honda NSR500 on Dunlop tires, followed in 2003 by Makoto Tamada riding a RC211V - the only Honda rider using Bridgestone tires won a podium in Brazil. Pramac Racing Honda also ran alongside Sito Racing, and in 2004 together with Tamada, achieved their first success with Bridgestone tires collecting 2 wins during the season. From 2005 until 2007, Pramac Racing and D'Antin MotoGP Team joined together and became the Pramac d'Antin competing with a Ducati machine. Roberto Rolfo started this new challenge giving way thereafter to Alex Hofmann, Jose Luis Cardoso and Alex Barros, who achieved a podium in the Italian Grand Prix in 2007 leading the team to a sixth spot in the ranking. In 2008 the team was sponsored by Alice and renamed Alice Team.

Riders Sylvain Guintoli and Toni Elias, who obtained two podium finishes in Czech Republic and San Marino, led the squad to become the only satellite Team to achieve this result during the season. During 2009 season the team competed under the name of Pramac Racing with Mika Kallio, who stands out to be the best rookie of this season, the Ducati Corse tester Niccolò Canepa and Aleix Espargarò replacing either of the two riders throughout the season. Kallio and Espargaró raced again for Pramac in 2010 season. In 2011 the team celebrated its 10th anniversary in MotoGP, lead by Loris Capirossi, back in Ducati, and his teammate, the young rider Randy De Puniet . The following year Hector Barbera wore the colors of the Pramac Racing Team, obtaining the front row at Mugello, and finishing in the top 10 of 11 races, despite the injury suffered. During the 2013 Pramac Racing has increase the relationship with Ducati, becoming the Factory supported Team. This has allowed its riders, Andrea Iannone and Ben Spies to compete in an higher level with the official team riders. For the 2014 season the team has confirm the young Italian talent Andrea Iannone and had hired the first Colombian rider of the history, Yonny Hernandez.

With Iannone's move to Ducati, Pramac Racing lines up in 2015 with Italian Danilo Petrucci alongside already experienced Hernandez.
From the 2015 Mugello GP, the team has been known as Octo Pramac Racing thanks to an agreement with a new title sponsor. A fantastic second place for Danilo Petrucci at Silverstone is the best result scored in the 2015 season and the Octo Pramac Racing ends 6th in the team's final standings.

In the 2016 MotoGp season OCTO Pramac Yakhnich team confirms Danilo Petrucci and Scott Redding, both on the Ducati Desmosedici GP 2015.The beginning of Scott Redding is very promising, winning the sixth place and the prize of Best Independent Team in the Grand Prix at Austin (United States). The British riders gets his first podium with Pramac Racing at Assen and confirmed to be in great shape in the next GP in Germany, finishing in fourth place. Even in Austria Redding get a good result: the eighth place worths the prize of Best Independent Team.The season of Danilo Petrucci instead starts with the injury reported in Australia tests that forced him to miss the first four races as Michele Pirro replaces him to defend the colors of Octo Pramac Yakhnich.Danilo Petrucci is back riding his Ducati Desmosedici in 2015 at Le Mans and achieved the best result of the season (7th place as in the Czech Republic).Octo Pramac Yakhnich finished the season in sixth place in the team ranking. Danilo Petrucci and Scott Redding achieved the 14th and 15th place respectively.

The team is tackling the 2017 season once again with Danilo Petrucci and Scott Redding. The Italian rider will have a same-spec Desmosedici GP as the factory team riders, while his British team-mate will be riding a 2016 version.
