New Dark livery: the essence of Monster
Monster reveals its Darkest side. Black dominates the new livery and gives the bike’s iconic forms space to shine: total black wheels and unpainted details like the front frame, snorkel cap and silencer underline the authentic, mechanical character. A bold, minimalist look where every element helps express the Monster identity.
V2 twin engine
Monster Dark is powered by the 890 cc V2 twin-cylinder engine, a symbol of Ducati sports attitude. Delivering 111 hp and 91 Nm of torque, it is narrower and more compact, with architecture that is optimized to hide many elements that were previously visible. The Intake Variable Timing system continuously adjusts the intake valve opening timing, for the best possible output.
Easy to manoeuvre
The Monster Dark is an extremely versatile bike, able to adapt easily to both urban use and sports riding, thanks to its lightness, generous steering angle, suspension, electronics and the V2 twin’s Intake Variable Timing system. Its dynamic performance makes for a smooth, precise and intuitive riding experience. The seat height is 815 mm, 5 mm lower than the previous generation, while the straddle arch is reduced to allow feet to more easily reach the ground. The Ducati accessories catalogue offers a lower seat and a suspension lowering kit, which together bring the seat height down to 775 mm.
Iconic and very muscular tank
The Monster Dark tank is a key element of its design. With a “bison back” and 13.5-liter capacity, it combines contemporary language with references to past legends. The front air vents pay tribute to the second generation of Monster but also allow for a very wide steering angle without sacrificing the muscular proportions for which the model stands out. The side panels are designed to create a sleek, streamlined profile, tracing the bike’s minimalist lines, while applied textures improve grip during riding, particularly under braking, for greater safety and control.
Race-derived electronics
As is the case for every Ducati, the Monster Dark’s electronics are inspired by the racing world. Four Riding Modes allow the bike to be adapted to every surface and riding style, highlighting the Monster’s dual character: sporty and dynamic, yet accessible and enjoyable for everyday riding. Each Riding Mode is associated with a dedicated, customizable Power Mode that manages power delivery. The electronics package includes preset riding controls based on the selected Riding Mode that can be fully customised by the rider.
5” display with two info modes: Road and Road Pro
The 5” TFT display, as standard, is now 16% larger than the previous generation. A bigger screen improves readability, making riding information and controls easier and more intuitive to view and navigate. Information is viewed in Day or Night mode depending on the light conditions, and in one of two info modes, Road and Road Pro, for an intuitive, bespoke experience.
Showa suspension with adjustable rear preload
To optimize the balance between daily use and sports riding, the Monster Dark features revised Showa suspension settings, with adjustable rear preload, to deliver the ideal combination of comfort and stability. The front end is more precise and stable, while ensuring true ease of use.
