Totally renewed in its every detail
Totally redesigned, the new Monster retains the agility and riding ease of the previous model but is now 4 kg lighter and flaunts a sportier, more extended position. Thanks to the new V2 engine and the use of cutting-edge components, the overall dry weight is just 175 kg.
New V2 twin engine
The new Monster is powered by the V2 engine, a symbol of Ducati sports attitude. Capable of delivering 110.7 hp and 67 lb-ft of torque, it is more compact and streamlined, with optimized architecture to conceal many elements that were previously on view. The Intake Variable Timing system continuously modifies the intake valve opening advance, for the best possible delivery at all times. It also features the new Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, already adopted on recent models including the Panigale V4, as well as four Riding Modes and four Power Modes (High, Medium, City and Low) that regulate throttle response and power delivery.
New full LED headlight with DRL
The new generation of Monster stands out for its modern and technological design, with a compact front end that emphasizes aggressiveness. The full LED light cluster is fully updated and includes the front DRL.
Light, agile and technological
The new Monster is an extremely versatile bike that easily adapts to both urban use and sports riding thanks to its lightness, wide steering angle, the V-twin’s Intake Variable Timing, suspension and fully updated electronics package. The dynamic quality is also improved, for a smooth, precise and intuitive ride: a perfect bike for both experienced riders and those navigating the Ducati world for the first time.
Feet easily touch the ground
A seat height of 815 mm (5 mm lower than the previous generation) and a reduced straddle arch make it easier to reach the ground. The Ducati Performance accessories catalogue also includes a lower seat and a suspension lowering kit, which reduce the seat height to 775 mm if used together.
Iconic and muscular tank
The Monster’s tank is a key element of its design, combining contemporary language with references to legends of the past. The front air vents, as well as paying tribute to the second generation of Monster, allow for a wide steering angle without sacrificing the powerful build for which this model has always stood out.
Race-derived electronics
Like every Ducati, the electronics of the new Monster are inspired by the racing world. Four Riding Modes allow the bike to be adapted to any road surface and riding style, highlighting the dual spirit of Monster: the sporty versus the more accessible and enjoyable day to day. Each Riding Mode is associated with a dedicated and customisable Power Mode that manages power delivery. The electronics package includes riding controls that are preset based on the selected Riding Mode and completely customisable by the rider: ABS Cornering has three levels with an ‘only front’ function for sports use, Traction Control eight levels, Wheelie Control four, and the new Engine Brake Control three levels.
New 5” display and two info modes: Road and Road Pro
The new 5” TFT display, as standard, is now 16% larger than the previous generation. Greater dimensions make for better readability and a simpler, more intuitive display of the controls and riding information. The adaptive structure of the wire frame optimises viewing of the main menu and its functions, dynamically adjusting the layout of icons to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience. The information is displayed in Day and Night mode depending on the natural light conditions, and in two info modes, Road and Road Pro, for an ever intuitive, tailor-made experience.
Showa suspension and a dedicated braking system
To ensure both efficient daily use and sports attitude, the new Monster has an updated setting complete with Showa suspension with adjustable rear preload, designed to offer the perfect balance of comfort and stability. The front end is more precise and stable while still ensuring real riding ease. The Brembo braking system uses pads with dedicated friction material that improves modulability and ensures smoother manoeuvres, especially in an urban setting. At the front, two 320 mm discs with Brembo radial callipers and a radial master cylinder, and at the rear a 245 mm disc with dual-piston calliper, ensuring power and control even with the hardest braking.
