The DRE Adventure Academy is the riding course designed for adventouring enthusiasts who want to learn all the secrets of on and off-road riding.

In a magnificent two days spent among the fascinating Tuscan countryside in the spectacular location of the Nipozzano Castle, you will have the opportunity to learn different techniques with focused theory lessons and exciting riding sessions.

The undisputed stars of this course are the DesertX and Multistrada V4.

Suitable for everyone From rookies who want to boost their confidence in slippery conditions, to more experienced riders who want to enhance their off road adventuring skills.
Different levels Participants shall be split into small groups based on experience and will be closely followed by a team of instructors.
Top quality tutoring A programme packed with exercises and techniques and lots of useful and practical advice for adventuring.
The experience

Superior level tutoring with exercises specially designed to boost a rider's confidence on the bike, achieve the correct position on the seat and the best on and off road riding techniques. There are also useful tips on adventouring: how to load the bags and position the passenger correctly, how to repair a punctured tyre and much more.

The DRE Adventure Academy will give you the opportunity to test your skills on different terrains, and put into practice the valuable advice provided by the Ducati instructors. 

In addition to testing the distinctive off road characteristics of the Multistrada V4, the DesertX and the Scrambler Desert Sled.

The first of two-day-course focuses on technical exercises and off-road riding techniques, while the second is dedicated to putting into practice what has been learnt in the training camps. The improvements will be completed with itinerant exercises through a breathtaking tour of about 200km both on and off-road in the beautiful Tuscan countryside, with typical lunch included.

Motorcycles

You will find the most adventurous Ducati bikes at the DRE Adventure Academy Multistrada V4, DesertX and Scrambler Desert Sled.

During the experience, bikes will be equipped to tackle your on-and-off-road riding with the right settings.

Ducati also offers participants the possibility to rent technical apparel: jacket, trousers, helmet, gloves, boots, Body Armour and knee pads.

The locations

The Nipozzano Castle is nestled in the heart of the Tuscan countryside and the location par excellence that hosts the DRE Adventure Academy. It is an ancient fortress built in the year one thousand to protect Florence, and the most famous and historic property owned by the Marchesi de Frescobaldi family.

Areas inside the immense estate around the castle are equipped to organise the practical exercises. After completing the exercises, the participants will have the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned, exploring the magnificent routes through the surrounding Tuscan hills.

At lunch and dinner, you will have the chance to taste a variety of traditional Tuscan dishes expertly prepared with top quality ingredients and accompanied by a selection of wines produced on the Frescobaldi family estates.

Special tutor collaborations

  • Andrea Rossi
    Andrea Rossi is an official Ducati tester and test rider. He started his collaboration in 2013, supporting the R&D team in the development processes of new models.
    Since 2015 he work on the Multistrada project and he was one of the founders of the DRE Enduro format. In 2020 and 2021 he participated in the Transanatolia Rally achieving victory in the category.
    Today he puts his experience in off-road maxi-enduro riding as Technical Director of the DRE Adventure.
