Journey itinerary
Day 1 – Bologna

Afternoon arrival. Kick off the journey with a welcome presentation, followed by dinner at the Ducati Museum, where you’ll admire the motorcycles that have defined 100 years of Borgo Panigale heritage.

Day 2 – Bologna - Florence - Siena (200 km / 125 miles)

The first kilometers unfold along the legendary roads of the Apennines where the Ducati Multistrada was born: Passo della Raticosa, Il Giogo, and La Futa, with flawless curves weaving through the forests of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines.

A stop at the iconic Mugello Circuit, a temple of speed and the setting for some of MotoGP’s most thrilling moments, is simply unmissable. From there, Tuscany opens up in all its harmony: the SR222 Chiantigiana guides us through Chianti Classico vineyards, cypress-lined lanes, and charming medieval villages.

The day concludes in Siena, immersing you in the timeless allure of one of Italy’s most iconic cities, with its stone-paved squares, historic towers, and an atmosphere suspended between history and the present.

Day 3 –Siena - Pienza - Civita di Bagnoregio (280 km / 175 miles)

We leave Siena, riding through the Crete Senesi, where the clay-rich earth forms soft, almost lunar landscapes. The road winds gracefully through rolling hills, secluded farmhouses, and horizons that change with every curve.

Continuing south, we arrive in Pienza, a Renaissance gem set in the heart of the Val d’Orcia, and then Civita di Bagnoregio, the legendary “dying city,” perched atop a tufa plateau and linked to the world by a narrow bridge. A place both fragile and striking, it feels suspended in time, as if belonging to another era.

Day 4 –Castelluccio di Norcia - Campo Imperatore - Santo Stefano di Sessanio (240 km / 150 miles)

Entering the heart of the Central Apennines, the journey reveals its most spectacular side. We reach Castelluccio di Norcia, a plateau suspended between sky and mountains, and then Campo Imperatore, the “Little Tibet of Italy,” where roads open onto vast, majestic landscapes.

Arrival at Rocca Calascio offers one of the most breathtaking views of the trip, framed by stone, wind, and silence. The day concludes in Santo Stefano di Sessanio, a timeless stone village nestled in the serene embrace of Abruzzo.

Day 5 – Santo Stefano di Sessanio - Lago di Scanno - Lago di Barrea to Rome (290 km / 180 miles)

Abruzzo reveals its raw and untamed beauty. The Scanno Gorge and Lake Scanno, with their striking turquoise waters, accompany us through mountains shaped by time, dense forests, and winding roads that make every mile an exhilarating and natural riding experience.

From there, the route descends towards Rome, where the journey meets the grandeur of history. A guided tour leads through the heart of the Eternal City, from the Colosseum to St Peter’s Basilica, blending the thrill of the ride with the timeless beauty of Italy’s capital.

Day 6 – Rome - Latina - Isernia (240 km / 150 miles)

After leaving Rome, the route heads south across the Lazio plains towards Latina, winding through cultivated fields and olive groves. A stop at the Castle of Sermoneta, perched on the Lepini Mountains, marks one of the day’s most evocative passages, before entering the Monti Aurunci Regional Park, where smooth curves, wooded valleys, rocky gorges, and glimpses of the Tyrrhenian Sea make for unforgettable riding.

The journey continues to Isernia, deep in the heart of a quieter, more authentic Italy.

Day 7 – Isernia - Caserta - Naples - Amalfi (300 km / 186 miles)

The final day takes us through the Matese Regional Park, weaving between valleys, lakes, and stretches of road immersed in the mountains. The route alternates climbs, wooded sections, and open landscapes before reaching the Royal Palace of Caserta, a Baroque masterpiece and a symbol of Italian elegance.

From there, the journey changes in light and atmosphere as we ride along the Amalfi Coast. Carved cliffside roads, colourful seaside villages, and breathtaking glimpses of the Mediterranean make for an unforgettable finale.

Day 8 – Amalfi

The Journey Elevated to Art, Celebrating the Centenary

Ducati celebrates its centenary by reimagining the 19th-century Grand Tour in a contemporary key. This is not just a journey across Italy, but an exploration of its artistic, cultural, and scenic heritage. For travellers of the past, the Grand Tour was a formative experience of discovery: cities of art, ancient ruins, architecture, villages, and unforgettable landscapes. Today, this itinerary The journey begins along the winding roads of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines, a land that has always belonged to the culture of Italian riding. Every curve, every incline, every horizon speaks the language of freedom and precision.

From here, the route opens towards Siena, where artistic and architectural heritage blends with a strong sense of local identity. The piazzas, palaces, and Gothic skyline tell a story still alive today, celebrated through the Palio, a powerful symbol of community, belonging, and collective memory.

Rome marks the monumental heart of the ride: a city of ancient ruins, basilicas, and layered history. Every street corner, every square is part of a cultural narrative spanning centuries, where power, art, and tradition intersect.

Naples, a historic stop on the Grand Tour, reveals a city that breathes culture everywhere, not only in its monuments, but in the rhythm of its streets. Palaces, churches, historic quarters, and traces of countless eras create a living, layered, and unmistakably Italian landscape.

This journey, celebrating Ducati’s first 100 years, offers a contemporary vision of Italy through its most iconic places.
