MXGP of Latvia Qualifying Race

  • Seventh consecutive top ten in qualifying for Jeremy Seewer who also scores points on Saturday in Latvia
  • Excellent comeback by Mattia Guadagnini who finds speed and overtaking on the sand of Kegums

The eleventh round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the MXGP of Latvia, takes place this week on the Kegums track, located 70 km east of the capital Riga. The sand track, which has been hosting GP’s since 2005 and which this year celebrates its 20th Grand Prix, has a slightly modified layout compared to the previous edition, with a particularly compact soil, covered by a layer of soft sand.

After being 14th and 22nd respectively in the morning free practice, Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini, at the end of the timed session, conquer the 13th and 24th gate for the qualifying race. At the start of the quali moto Seewer gets off to a good start and manages to maintain his position, while Guadagnini takes an excellent start and with his Desmo450 MX enters the top 20, quickly recovering positions during the first lap. At the end of a solid race, run with a good pace, Jeremy managed to get into the points zone for the seventh consecutive time this season, crossing the finish line in 10th position, with Mattia not far behind, who crosses the finish line 12th under the checkered flag. Both Aruba.it - ​​Ducati Factory MX Team riders thus obtained a good position at the gate for the Sunday’s motos.
