New V2 twin: so much torque, so much fun
The new Hypermotard V2 is driven by the 890 cc 90° Ducati V2 engine, the lightest twin ever produced by Ducati (54.5 kg), which contributes to the bike’s overall lightness. Able to deliver 120 hp at 10,750 rpm and 94 Nm of torque at 8,250 rpm, it is the most powerful Hypermotard of all time. With all the torque to ensure maximum enjoyment on road and track. The Hypermotard V2 is also available as a 35 Kw reduced power version for A2 licence holders.
SP version
The Hypermotard V2 SP takes the sports attitude of a Ducati fun bike to the extreme. The dedicated livery with SP logo on the sides of the tank also stands out for its white rims and number 20, to mark the twentieth anniversary of the presentation of the first prototype. The technical equipment is designed to enhance performance and reduces the overall weight by 3 kg with respect to Hypermotard V2. It includes Öhlins SP suspension, forged wheels, Brembo M50 front brake callipers with dedicated brake master cylinder, and a lithium battery.
Totally redesigned chassis
The chassis of the new Hypermotard V2 has been totally redesigned to offer maximum compactness and agility. The new aluminium monocoque front frame uses the engine as a structural element, for an extremely compact mechanical base. The use of cutting-edge components and new engine make for a 13 kg weight saving with respect to the previous generation (14 kg for the SP version), making Hypermotard V2 even more responsive and fun to ride on both road and track.
Supermotard ergonomics
The new Hypermotard V2 has ergonomics inspired by the supermotard world, with a wide handlebar, erect riding position and bike that is narrow between the legs to ensure optimum control and agility. For the first time, both the standard and SP versions share the same seat height of 880 mm, with a straddle arch that ensures feet can easily reach the ground. A lower seat and lowered suspension are available as Ducati Performance accessories to adapt the bike to every requirement.
Benchmark electronic equipment
The race-derived electronics package reaches new heights with the Hypermotard V2. Four Riding Modes, each with a dedicated Power Mode, to adapt the bike to any riding style and maximise enjoyment. The new 5” TFT display allows for the management of all functions, with three possible Info Modes (Road, Road Pro and Track) ensuring the ideal viewing experience in every situation.
Kayaba suspension and Öhlins suspension
The two versions of Hypermotard differ in terms of their suspension. Hypermotard V2 adopts a fully adjustable Kayaba fork with 46 mm stanchions and, at the rear, a Kayaba shock with preload and rebound adjustment. The Hypermotard V2 SP is equipped with fully adjustable Öhlins suspension, designed to offer a smoother ride and more sophisticated dynamic performance. Both versions come complete with Sachs steering damper.
Wheels and tyres
The new Hypermotard V2 range mounts aluminium wheels with a Y-shaped six-spoke design, paired with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres measuring 120/70 and 190/55. The SP version adopts forged wheels that are 1.5 kg lighter.
Brembo braking system
Both versions use a Brembo braking system. The Hypermotard V2 flaunts 320 mm dual discs paired with M4.32 callipers, while the SP version adopts the more high-performance M50 callipers with dedicated brake master cylinder, for an even prompter and more flexible response. At the rear, both versions mount a 245 mm disc for braking power and control in every riding situation.
