In Ducati’s Centenary year, Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak adopts a new livery inspired by the Ducati bikes competing in MotoGP and Superbike, designed in collaboration with Drudi Performance. The Ducati Red, crossed by a distinctive double white band, ensures a strong and immediately recognizable visual identity, elevated with black details that accentuate the sports attitude. A design with real visual impact that recalls the racing legacy of the Borgo Panigale manufacturer and interprets that heritage with its dynamic lines, sculpted surfaces and distinctive details.

The single-sided swingarm is a technical and style solution that recalls Ducati racing heritage. A distinctive element that emphasizes the character of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, while further accentuating its design and road presence.

Compact, essential and immediately recognizable, the Akrapovič titanium exhaust adds to the sports character of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. The dedicated design integrates perfectly with the lines of the bike, reinforcing its connection to the world of racing and completing its racing identity.

A combination designed to emphasize the riding dynamic. The Marchesini forged wheels add to the agility and responsiveness while the 17” front wheel offers precision, control and direct feeling with the asphalt, transforming every turn into an even more satisfying experience.

The smoked low windscreen enhances the sporty profile of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. With its compact design and dark finish, it reinforces the bike’s racing-inspired character while contributing to a more dynamic and distinctive front-end look.

Produced in carbon fiber, the beak and front mudguard add an exclusive touch to the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak. The visible weave recalls the Ducati racing world and emphasizes an aesthetic that is technical, sporty and immediately recognizable. 

With 170 hp of power, 91 lb-ft of torque and the limiter set at 11,500 rpm, the V4 Granturismo offers all the drive needed to take on every journey with confidence. Smooth power delivery and immediate response to rider inputs ensure efficient performance, enhancing the sports attitude of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak without sacrificing comfort and reliability over long distances.

The V4 Granturismo engine is equipped with a counter-rotating crankshaft, technology derived from Ducati's experience in MotoGP. This innovation acts “against” the gyroscopic inertia of the wheels, improving handling and riding precision. 

The gearbox is equipped with a short first gear to facilitate low-speed maneuvers and ensure maximum acceleration, while sixth gear is lengthened to guarantee optimum engine speed when on the motorway. This combination offers smooth, controlled riding, on both challenging routes and long journeys.

To improve consumption, the V4 Granturismo engine adopts an extended rear-bank deactivation strategy. As well as intervening when the vehicle is stationary with the engine on, the system also deactivates the two rear cylinders at low speed, optimizing consumption while maintaining performance when required. As the speed or need for power increases, the four cylinders seamlessly resume operation, guaranteeing all the smoothness and performance of the V4 Granturismo.

The V4 Granturismo is an engine designed to carry you far. All V4 Granturismo components are designed to ensure exceptional reliability. This allows for extended service intervals, such as the valve clearance check at 37,000 miles (60,000 km), significantly above the segment average.

The chassis configuration of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak incorporates a swingarm pivot that increases the anti-squat effect. This helps limit load transfer under acceleration, improving the bike’s dynamic efficiency and feeling during sports riding.

Lightness and precision meet in the Marchesini forged wheels and Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV Corsa tires. Reduced mass contributes to making the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak even sharper during sports riding, increasing its agility, speed in changing direction, and control through the turns.

It is designed to accommodate a 190/55 rear tire, larger with respect to other versions in the Multistrada range. A distinctive element that emphasizes the character of the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak, while further accentuating its design and road presence.

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak combines a powerful and progressive braking system with advanced electronic management. The 280 mm rear disc [MR1] ensures highly efficient rear braking, while the Front to Rear combined braking strategy automatically divides the braking action between front and rear based on the bike’s load and conditions of use. This function is activated only with ABS levels 2 and 3, to ensure stability and riding comfort. With ABS level 1, combined braking is excluded, leaving the rider free to manage the front and rear brake totally independently, ideal during sports riding.

Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension contributes to making the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak even more precise and efficient during sports riding. The result is a bike that is more stable, well-balanced and intuitive, and that can offer heightened levels of control and feeling in every riding situation.

Event-based strategies recognise riding phases such as braking, acceleration and cornering in real time, continuously optimizing suspension response to offer greater precision, control and stability. 

To best exploit the potential of Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak in every context, Ducati has developed five Riding Modes. Each mode is designed to offer an impeccable, intuitive riding experience, customized to suit the terrain and conditions.

Race Riding Mode

With this riding mode, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak delivers ultimate engine and chassis performance, harnessing the full 170 hp of the V4 Granturismo engine and the outstanding Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension setup. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control intervention are reduced to a minimum and Cornering ABS is at level 2, allowing for controlled rear wheel lift in order to fully exploit the braking phase, also on track.

Sport Riding Mode

With this Riding Mode, the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak sets the engine to maximum power (170 hp) with a particularly reactive throttle response and adopts a sports suspension setting. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control intervention is slightly more conservative with respect to Race mode and ABS is set to level 2, allowing for controlled rear wheel lift to maximize performance under braking.

Touring Riding Mode

In Touring Riding Mode, the throttle response and power delivery of the V4 Granturismo engine become smoother and more progressive. ABS is set at level 3, perfect for touring and able to offer the rider a greater sense of safety thanks to active rear wheel lift detection, combined braking efficiency, and active Cornering function. The suspension has a setup that offers the perfect mix between support and comfort, ideal on long journeys without tiring the rider and passenger.

Urban Riding Mode

In Urban Riding Mode, power delivery is reduced to 115 hp and the suspension setting is ideal for tackling common urban obstacles such as speed bumps or drain covers. Ducati Traction Control and Ducati Wheelie Control are at a very high intervention level to ensure the highest level of safety in any kind of urban road conditions. ABS is set at level 3.

Wet Riding Mode

The new Wet Riding Mode is designed for riding on low-grip surfaces, specifically in the wet. This mode limits maximum power to 115 hp with a particularly gentle throttle response (Low Power Mode). The predefined electronics control level is set to ensure optimum stability and grip.

Multistrada V4 was the world’s first bike to integrate both front and rear radar, activating advanced rider assistance systems such as Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Blind Spot Detection. Adaptive Cruise Control automatically maintains a safe distance from the vehicle in front, while Forward Collision Warning warns the rider in case of sudden approach. Blind Spot Detection helps to identify vehicles coming from behind, further heightening safety.

The Electronic Combined Braking System on Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak significantly improves stability and safety. Thanks to its front-to-rear operating logic, the system optimizes combined braking between front and rear. For those wanting more direct control, it is also possible to select an ABS level that deactivates the combined braking function, separating front brake action from that of the rear brake (ABS level 1).

Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is equipped with a 6.5-inch TFT display designed to offer optimum readability in all conditions thanks to optical bonding technology. The graphics are complete and provide the rider with all the info they need.

The system comes complete with integrated navigation via the Sygic GPS app, implemented thanks to a phone’s mirroring function that also allows the rider to manage calls, view their contacts or listen to music via the Ducati Multimedia System (DMS).

The system maintains GPS functionality via the Ducati Connect app, which supports the use of a phone to also manage calls and listen to music, all via a helmet complete with an intercom system.

Everything is managed via the joystick on the left block, which allows for quick and easy menu navigation. Dedicated switches allow the rider to select the Riding Mode and suspension calibration, while Adaptive Cruise Control is managed with the classic button together with the + and – keys that allow the rider to adjust the desired following distance from the vehicle in front.
