Eraldo Ferracci Inducted Into the AMA Motorcycle Hall of Fame

• Ducati North America celebrates the induction of legendary racer and team owner whose Fast by Ferracci Ducati program helped establish Ducati as a force in American and World Superbike racing

Sunnyvale, Calif., September 28, 2026 — Ducati North America celebrates the induction of Eraldo Ferracci into the 2026 American Motorcycle Association (AMA) Motorcycle Hall of Fame, recognizing a career that helped shape the history of American motorcycle racing and played a defining role in Ducati's emergence as a dominant force in Superbike championships. Ferracci was presented with his Hall of Fame honor by three-time World Champion and AMA Motorcycle Hall of Famer Freddie Spencer.  Spencer's final professional race victory came at Laguna Seca in 1995, when he won an AMA Superbike race aboard a Fast by Ferracci Ducati 916.

An Italian-born racer, Ferracci first established himself in Italy during the 1960s before moving to the United States in 1967. After making his mark in American drag racing and setting multiple records throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Ferracci founded Fast by Ferracci, Inc. in 1980, building a reputation for developing high-performance motorcycles and race-winning machinery.

In 1988, Ducati turned to Ferracci to establish its first American-based factory road racing team and quickly became one of the most successful Ducati racing operations in the world. Under Ferracci's leadership, the team captured consecutive FIM World Superbike Championships in 1991 and 1992 with Doug Polen, followed by AMA Superbike Championships with Polen in 1993 and Australian rider Troy Corser in 1994.

Corser's 1994 AMA Superbike Championship remains a defining moment in Ducati's American racing history, establishing the Fast by Ferracci name among the most influential teams in American road racing.

Today, his legacy remains visible in Ducati's current American racing program, Ferracci maintains a position as a leading member of the Ducati-supported Warhorse HSBK Ducati FLo4Law Superbike team. In 2024, Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati and Josh Herrin ended a 30-year drought between Ducati AMA Superbike championships, with Herrin securing the MotoAmerica Superbike title aboard the Ducati Panigale V4 R—the first Ducati Superbike championship in the United States since Corser's 1994 triumph.

The connection between Ferracci and the modern Ducati racing effort was celebrated during the 2024 MotoAmerica season, when Warhorse HSBK Racing Ducati and Ducati North America unveiled a special Fast by Ferracci-inspired livery on Herrin's Panigale V4 R at Circuit of The Americas. The tribute commemorated the 30th anniversary of Corser's championship and honored Ferracci's continuing influence within the Ducati racing community.
