DesmoSport Ducati targets One Raceway

Desmosport Ducati will roll out of pit lane at Goulburn's One Raceway this weekend (October 3-5) to contest the seventh round of the Australian Superbike Championship (ASBK) as Broc Pearson targets the top step of the podium just as he did last year. Last year produced a breakthrough dry-race victory for Pearson around the 2.32km circuit and the Desmosport team are highly motivated to keep their momentum rolling after strong podium results last time out at Phillip Island. This weekend the program will return to the traditional three-day schedule, with free practice beginning at 10:30am on Friday morning. One Raceway is in complete contrast to the flowing lines of Phillip Island and this weekend presents an opportunity for the Desmosport Ducati team to showcase their Panigale V4 R on a tight circuit that demands precision over horsepower. Pearson enters the round knowing a solid points haul could elevate him further in the overall standings at this crucial part of the season. Luca Durning will be back on board the Desmosport Ducati Panigale V2 in Next Gen Supersport hoping to defend his points lead and build on confidence gained from improved pace at Phillip Island.

Team Owner, Ben Henry: “We're very fired up for One Raceway, the results from last year are still fresh enough in our minds to let us know what is possible here. Broc has been riding fantastic and our guys have been doing an incredible job developing the MoTeC ECU to be competitive. We tested here right before Phillip Island but we didn't get much track time in due to the weather. If anything it reminded us that we will have to be extra sharp as a team this weekend...Goulburn has a habit or being unpredictable, you could get anything from red flags to rain so we will need to be on our toes. This weekend we are a man down, Broc's race mechanic Yorkie has just become a dad! It happened a few weeks earlier than expected but we are all very happy for his family and wish them all the best.”

Broc Pearson: "I'm so keen to get back to One Raceway, we've got great memories from last year and I want more of the same this weekend. Phillip Island was frustrating in the sense that I hate being pipped at the line like we were - twice - but it was also a strong validation of our bike and team. To be in the fight for race wins in all sorts of conditions, it gives me a lot of confidence going into this weekend. The bike is working great and so are the team, plus I do like the track. It's the complete opposite to Phillip Island, this weekend the track is tight and qualifying will be very important. Big congrats to Yorkie on becoming a dad, we are all excited for him and ready to put on a good show."
