HomeThe livery of the Panigale V4 S 100 is inspired by the 750 Imola Desmo that triumphed at the first edition of the 200 Miglia di Imola in 1972 with Paul Smart and Bruno Spaggiari. Developed from the 750 GT, it introduced the desmodromic system and adopted the fairing of the racing 500 GP. Its distinctive “glitter silver” finish became one of the most iconic colours in Ducati history.
The historic Imola victory, achieved against Giacomo Agostini and MV Agusta, brought enormous popularity to Ducati and led to the creation, in 1973, of the 750 SuperSport Desmo, the first road-going desmodromic L-twin produced by the Borgo Panigale manufacturer.
The livery of the Streetfighter V4 S 100 is inspired by the 900 Sport Desmo Darmah from 1979, a true Streetfighter ahead of its time. During the 1970s and 1980s, black and gold graphics were a major trend in motorsport, and Ducati adopted this iconic colour scheme for the Darmah.
The model also reflected the era’s fascination with exotic countries, visible both in the imaginative “Darmah” name and in the famous tiger head graphic originally featured on the side panels and now reinterpreted on the undertail.
The livery of the Panigale V2 S 100 is inspired by the 750 Super Sport Desmo raced by Franco Uncini during the 1975 Italian Speed Championship season, won by the rider from Marche with the team founded by Bruno Spaggiari. After 1973, Ducati entrusted its racing operations to Spaggiari, focusing on the powerful production-derived 750 Super Sport Desmo.
The iconic yellow livery recalled the road-going 750 Sport models and was paired with brown/burgundy details, a colour also used at the time on marine engines produced in Borgo Panigale.
The livery of the Diavel V4 RS 100 is inspired by the 900 Replica from 1979, one of the most iconic motorcycles in Ducati history. Created after Ducati’s victory at the 1978 Tourist Trophy, the 900 Replica became the first true road-going replica of a Ducati racing motorcycle and quickly turned into a cult object among enthusiasts.
The historic green and red livery with white pinstripes, inspired by the Isle of Man-winning bike, also represents one of the earliest examples of Ducati’s “almost” tricolore colour scheme, which would later become a symbol of the brand’s most exclusive and sporty models from Borgo Panigale.
The livery of the Multistrada V4 RS 100 is inspired by the 500 SL Pantah from 1979, a model that marked a fundamental technical turning point for Ducati. The Pantah introduced the company’s first trellis frame and the new Pantah engine, which abandoned the traditional bevel gear system used since 1955.
Characterised by the angular design typical of the 1980s and the iconic logo created by Giorgetto Giugiaro, the 500 SL Pantah was praised for its lightness and ease of riding.
The livery of the Scrambler 100 is inspired by the 250 Scrambler from 1962, the first Ducati Scrambler model created exclusively for the American market. Its origins are closely tied to Joe Berliner, Ducati’s first importer in the United States, who encouraged the Borgo Panigale manufacturer to develop an off-road motorcycle inspired by the dirt track world.
Following the worldwide attention generated by the 1957 round-the-world journey of Monetti and Tartarini, interest in Ducati also grew overseas, leading to the creation of the historic 250 Scrambler.
The livery of the Hypermotard V2 SP 100 is inspired by the 860 “24 Horas de Montjuïc”, a symbol of the era when Ducati focused on production-derived racing motorcycles to return as a major contender in endurance racing. To compete in events such as the Bol D’Or and the 24 Horas de Montjuïc, Ducati developed a larger-capacity L-twin beyond the traditional 750 cc platform.
The 860 made its winning debut in 1973 with the prototype 860 Desmo, which would later evolve into the road-going 900 Super Sport. In 1975, Salvador Canellas and Benjamin “Min” Grau once again claimed victory in the Catalan race with the iconic colours of the NCR team founded by Nepoti and Caracchi.
The tricolour livery of the Monster 100 is inspired by the Monster S4Rs Tricolore from 2008, a model that effectively represented the final edition of the first Monster generation.
Produced from 1993 to 2008, this generation became one of the most iconic and recognisable not only in Ducati history, but in the motorcycle world as a whole.
The livery of the DesertX 100 is inspired by the Pantah “Ice” from 1981, the star of one of the most unusual episodes in Ducati history.
It was a specially modified Pantah 500, notable for its distinctive studded tyres and the removal of the braking system, allowing it to be used on frozen tracks. A highly unconventional application, far removed from traditional racing competitions.
The livery of the XDiavel V4 100 is inspired by the special 750 Super Sport, nicknamed “California Hot Rod”, the motorcycle with which Cook Neilson made Ducati history by winning at Daytona in 1977.
It was the first victory by an Italian motorcycle in an American production-based racing event, a triumph that greatly increased Ducati’s popularity across the United States.
