In particular, Ducati delivers the Desmosedici GP motorcycles at least four years after the end of the relevant championship to ensure confidentiality regarding the technology. 

Ducati Motor Holding assigns Racing Real directly to the most passionate and loyal Ducatisti, evaluating the requests it receives on a case-by-case basis. Ducati and Ducatisti will always have a direct relationship, and the Ducati dealer network may be involved in supporting the operation.

The final location of the motorcycle is not binding for the purposes of assignment. Ducati grants the possibility of storing the motorcycles at its premises or at previously approved Official Collections. Ducati particularly appreciates when the motorcycles are displayed with the dignity that distinguishes them, that is, as works of art that are unique in the world, protected and managed accordingly.

Although the motorcycles are in perfect working order, it is expressly forbidden to use them. For this reason, they are sold without fluids.
