A fourth consecutive championship win for Ducati as Jack Bell wins back to back championships in the DTRA Hooligans class onboard the Devitt X Vanoni Scrambler Ducati

With a second place in the final race event at Greenfield, Jack Bell wins back to back championships in the Hooligans on board the Devitt X Vanoni Scrambler Ducati. This takes the Scrambler Ducati tally to four consecutive DTRA British championship wins in this class, showing that the Scrambler 1100 can pick up the mantle from the 800.

With a full grid and Indian clearly stating their intentions by fielding five bikes, we knew it wasn’t going to be an easy ride. Not only that: American Flat Track star Jeffrey Carver flew in from America as a guest for the last round of the championship to ride in the Pro and Hooligans class for Indian. When the news of Carver participating was announced we knew that our chances of five-out-of-five wins for the season would be a tall order.

However, with a fine tuned bike and Jack riding harder than ever we set our sight on the top spot. Meanwhile, Max Inman took over duties on the 800 for this round as our guest rider.

Jack won two out of the three qualifying heats, with Carver finishing just behind him on total points. Max meanwhile showed his skills by finishing the heats in fifth. Jack Bell rode brilliantly all day, recording the fastest laps ever on a Hooligans bike at the Greenfield Oval. Max was also consistently on the pace and showed progress all day.

We of course had a lot more at stake than just the final win of the season - and Jack didn’t disappoint, bringing home the champion title for 2022.

We are incredibly proud of this season achievement, and It is a testament to both Jack and the bike that the only the only time they were beaten to the finishing line in 2022 was by one of the best riders in the business from the top championship in the world.

We wish to thank all those that made this possible, in particular Ducati, Devitt Insurance and the DTRA. A special thank you goes to Jack Bell for all his hard work, passion and dedication.

Jack Bell
"
I did enjoy racing against US Flat Track star Jeffrey Carver and after a 2nd place finish at Greenfield I was able to wrap the Hooligan championship on the Ducati Scrambler 1100.

I would like to thank Vanoni Moto Officina for the countless hours and hard graft on making such a good bike and to Urban Rider and Devitt Insurance for making this possible."

Max Inman
"I was happy with a P5 finish in the final considering the competition ahead of me. As soon as I got on the bike I felt comfortable, it performed very well - and even better after we made few adjustments."

We’re confident the bike can be developed even further during the off season and we look forward to come back in 2023 to defend the title.
