Keep up to speed with Desmo Sport Ducati Racing in the Australian Superbike Championship!
DesmoSport DucatiWaters dominated qualifying and all three races setting new qualifying and race lap records on his way to blitzing the event aboard the McMartin Racing Ducati V4R over the weekend of 24-26 February.
Race one was just five laps in when it was red flagged due to rain, starting from pole position Josh had already established a lead in excess of 4.7 seconds and set a new lap record of 1:31.075. As the field blasted off the line in the restart Josh took a few laps to survey the conditions before riding away from the pack to secure victory by 1.652 seconds, his fastest lap 1.4 seconds faster than any other rider.
Sundays race two saw a other red flag after only two laps due to wildlife on track. From the restart, Josh got away well and opened up a two second lead by the end of lap two enabling him to once again dominate the race taking victory after a reduced distance of nine laps.
Race three was a other perfect performance from Josh Waters and the McMartin Racing Team Ducati V4R, a lead of over over one second after the first lap set up another win in sunny but windy conditions to cap off the perfect weekend. The eventual winning margin 4.343 seconds.
Josh now leads the championship on 76 points heading into the next round at Sydney Motorsport Park on the 24th and 25th of March.
