Whether you are carving up the corners on a Streetfighter or laying down some serious miles on a Multistrada, you will have the reassurance and confidence of knowing that you are never riding alone.

From the second you leave your dealership for the first time, wherever the road takes you, rest assured that Ducati Riders Assist will be able to help and assist in the event of an accident, breakdown or emergency - 24 hours a day, 365 days of the year. Ducati Riders Assist is a complimentary 2-year service for added peace of mind for all Ducatisti.

The Ducati Rider Assist program is valid from the date of first registration and is supported by the official Ducati Dealer Network, nationwide across Australia and New Zealand.

Terms and Conditions

Stay with your Motorcycle

Once assistance has been called, it is important that you remain with your Motorcycle if it is safe to do so. If we arrive at your Motorcycle and it is unattended, we are unable to carry out any work to the Motorcycle, and payment may be required for any subsequent call out for the same incident.  

Roadside Assistance

Ducati Riders Assist includes roadside assistance. Should you arrange roadside assistance yourself, you will not be reimbursed for these expenses. 

Assistance in remote areas

If you require assistance on a public road in a remote area and you have to leave your Motorcycle to arrange assistance, please advise us at the time of the initial call. You may also choose to give your details to a person passing by who can contact us for you 

Mechanical Assistance

In the event of a Breakdown, we will make temporary mechanical adjustments to your Motorcycle, where possible and if safe to carry out roadside. Repairs which can be carried out on the spot will be made to ensure that you and your Motorcycle are back on the road as soon as possible.   

Non-mechanical Assistance

We will also provide roadside assistance for flat tyre change, flat battery jumpstart or battery replacement, delivery for out of fuel breakdowns or spare key recovery for key faults.  

Accident or Theft

Should your Motorcycle be immobilised due to damage caused by an Accident or Theft, we can arrange transport for you and your pillion passenger to continue your journey. In the event that your Motorcycle is stolen, we can provide you with advice and arrange alternative transport to get you and your passenger Home. However, the cost of transport for you and your Motorcycle in the event of an Accident or Theft are not covered under Ducati Riders Assist and must be borne by you. 

Motorcycle Transport

If your Motorcycle cannot be mobilised roadside in the event of a Breakdown, we will transport your Motorcycle to your choice of:

- The nearest Dealer or authorized repairer from the Breakdown point 

OR 

- Your home from the Breakdown point 

The maximum payment Ducati Nationwide Roadside Assistance provides for transporting your Motorcycle in the event of a Breakdown is $1000 (including GST). If the cost of transporting your Motorcycle exceeds this amount, you are responsible for paying the additional amount to the attending provider.   

Fuel

In the event you run out of fuel, Ducati Riders Assist will supply, free of charge, up to 5 litres of fuel to get you to the next refueling point.  

Keys

If your keys have been lost, we will, on proof of ownership of the Motorcycle provide emergency assistance to locate and deliver your spare keys, or arrange for you to retrieve a spare key if this is more practical. All expenses for the replacement key will be at the driver’s cost. 

Accommodation

An accommodation benefit is available as an option in lieu of the rental vehicle. Should a mechanical breakdown occur more than 100kms from your home address due to a warrantable electrical or mechanical failure, and your motorcycle is expected to be disabled for more than 8 hours, accommodation will be provided to you for up to three nights to a total value of $120 (including GST) per night (excludes meals and personal expenses). Accommodation entitlement ceases once your motorcycle has been repaired.   

Car rental

Should your Motorcycle be immobilized more than 100kms from your Home address due to a warrantable electrical or mechanical failure and your Motorcycle is expected to be disabled for longer than 24 hours, a rental vehicle will be arranged to a maximum value of $120 (including GST), per day, for a maximum of 3 days to allow continuation of your journey (if the accommodation option is not utilized).  

Alternative transportation

Should a mechanical breakdown occur more than 100kms from your home and the repairs will take longer than 8 hours, you may elect to continue the journey by alternative means. If required, Ducati Riders Assist will arrange for the vehicle to be transported to your home or ultimate destination – whichever is the shorter.  

Alternatively, you may choose to be repatriated back to the repairer to collect the vehicle to a maximum of $1,000.00 incl GST per incident  

Case Management Coverage

Each event will have a maximum case management cost of $1000 + GST. Any cost over this amount will be the responsibility of the owner/rider.  

Transfer of Cover

Ducati Riders Assist may be transferred to a new owner of your Motorcycle at any time during the period of cover provided you notify us of the new owner and the owner’s particulars are registered on the program.  

To purchase Roadside Assistance

At the end of the 2 year complimentary period you will be invited to renew your Ducati Rider Assist cover at your cost.

General Exclusions

Assistance is not available in the following instances:

- Motorcycles used for hire or reward. 

- Motorcycles used in motor racing, rallies, speed or duration testing or any practice thereof.  

- Claims arising from the loss or damage to the contents of the Motorcycle.  

- Claims arising from a recurring electrical or mechanical limit resulting from improper maintenance or servicing where a known fault and repair has been neglected. 

- Situations where the Motorcycle is disabled by floods, snow affected roads, or is not accessible due to other adverse conditions.  

- Motorcycles being bogged in off road conditions and not easily accessible by normal two wheel drive recovery vehicles. 

- Motorcycles being located off public roads, (other than private residence), not accessible by normal two wheel drive recovery vehicles. 

- Motorcycles that have been left unattended. 

- Motorcycles modified from standard manufacturer’s specification to such an extent that the modifications either contribute to the breakdown, or hinder the provision of roadside assistance using standard equipment. 

- Motorcycles other than those confirmed as covered by the Ducati Riders Assist Staff. 

- Motorcycles not displaying current Motorcycle registration certificate and warrant of fitness. 

- Costs relating to parts, labour and any associated costs for the repair of the Ducati Motorcycle under the assistance program, including replacement batteries and/or tyres, shall be at the owner/driver’s expense. Claims may be recovered via the authorized Ducati agent. 

- If at the time of breakdown, the Motorcycle was towing a sidecar or trailer this vehicle will be towed or transported to the nearest Ducati dealer or place of safety. Towing and storage costs will be the responsibility of the owner.  

- Events as a result of an accident, or misuse of the motorcycle. All associated costs are the responsibility of the driver. 

We will not provide cover if:

- Your motorcycle is unattended at the time our assistance vehicle arrives;  

- You make numerous call outs due to driver or owner related faults or non-compliance to rectify any recurring faults. 

We will not cover the cost of parts or labour for the repair of your motorcycle unless these are covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. 

We will not in any circumstances cover:

- Damage to the Motorcycle or to any property; 

- Injury or Death of any person   

Terminology

Accident

Means an impact or collision of any kind involving the Motorcycle or where the rider has lost control of the Motorcycle, causing damage to the Motorcycle.  

Breakdown

Means a breakdown of the Motorcycle so that it is immobilized or unsafe to ride due to:

- A mechanical or electrical fault in the Motorcycle; 

- A flat tyre or flat or faulty battery in the Motorcycle;

- The Motorcycle running out of fuel;

- The Motorcycle keys being lost.  

Dealer

Means an authorized dealer, service facility or agent as nominated by us.  

Home

Means your home or business address as registered on the Ducati Riders Assist program. 

Motorcycle

Means a Ducati Motorcycle registered on the Ducati Riders Assist program.  

Theft

Means theft or attempted theft causing damage to the Motorcycle. 

We, us and our

Means Ducati ANZ Pty Ltd 

You or your

Means the person registered on the Ducati Riders Assist program.

Privacy Information

Your personal information is collected for the purpose of providing roadside assistance services and may be disclosed to repairers, mechanics, hire car companies and towing operators for the purpose of providing these services.
