Journey itinerary
Day 1 – Reykjavik

Welcome to the Island of Volcanoes, where we will explore the unique landscapes that have made Iceland famous.
Arrival at Keflavík International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Reykjavík.

Day 2 – Thingvellir – Geysir – Gullfoss (300 km / 186 miles)

Leaving Reykjavík, we immediately dive into a landscape in constant flux: geothermal areas, highlands, and the profound silence of Lake Þingvallavatn.

We enter Thingvellir National Park, walking between the American and Eurasian tectonic plates.

The scenery then ignites in the Geysir Nature Reserve, where Strokkur erupts powerfully into the sky, heralding one of the day’s most iconic moments: the magnificent Gullfoss waterfall.

A journey through a vast natural park, across geysers and waterfalls, taking us to some of Iceland’s most iconic sites. Here, you begin to understand why Iceland is one of the world’s most coveted destinations for lovers of untamed nature.

Day 3 – Fjallabak Black Desert - Hekla Volcano (200 km / 124 miles)

The ascent of Hekla, one of Iceland’s largest volcanoes, takes you along trails that cross recent lava flows. Then come the black desert, the colorful mountains, rushing streams, and vast snowfields.

You enter the wild heart of the island, where asphalt disappears and gives way to raw, living earth.

Day 4 – Landmannalaugar (150 km / 93 miles)

We enter the Landmannalaugar Reserve, following breathtaking black lava sand trails that contrast strikingly with the vibrant green moss. This is also the land of river crossings, which punctuate the route before finally opening onto sweeping views of the Arctic Ocean.

Day 5 – Vatnajökull → Skaftafell → Laki (150 km / 93 miles)

We are in the south of the island, where the land is still alive and the boundary between fire and ice melts into the horizon.

We enter Vatnajökull National Park, navigating between ancient glaciers and stretches of black lava, in a landscape that constantly tells the story of elemental clashes. We cross the Eldgjá canyon, a deep, throbbing fissure, before reaching Laki Volcano, the heart of one of Iceland’s most impressive volcanic systems.

Between the Mýrdalsjökull and Vatnajökull glaciers, the route is entirely off-road, immersed in raw, untouched nature. An intense experience, where every kilometer is a direct confrontation with the power of the earth.

Day 6 - Reynisfjara Black Beach - Glacier Lagoon - Seljalandsfoss - Skógafoss (250 km / 155 miles)

After visiting Reynisfjara Black Beach, where the ocean crashes against the basalt cliffs, we return to Route 1, the island’s great arterial road.

Ahead of us lies a world of ice and legend: the glacial lagoon of Sólheimajökull, and the majestic waterfalls of Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss, where water cascades like a veil of light onto the heart of the earth.

We continue along the Arctic coast, on a road seemingly suspended between sky and abyss, between wind and silence, all the way back to Reykjavík.

Day 7 – Reykjavik

Transfer to Keflavík International Airport for your return flight.
