Ducati Corse Off-Road sports programs in MX2 announced

After unveiling its new team for the 2026 MXGP World Championship at EICMA, Ducati Corse Off-Road is pleased to announce its participation next year in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250 Championship with the Ducati Desmo250 MX—previously campaigned in the Italian Prestige Pro MX2 Championship this year by Team Beddini Racing with Alessandro Lupino.

Founded in 2019 by Umbrian entrepreneur Dario Beddini, driven by a passion for off-road racing, the Italian team will once again compete in both championships with the new Ducati. Despite its relatively short history, Team Beddini has achieved notable success, claiming four Italian motocross titles. Managed by former rider Joakin Furbetta, the Beddini Racing – Ducati Factory MX2 Team will debut the Desmo250 MX in the two FIM Championships, fielding two promising Italian talents: Ferruccio Zanchi (MX2) and Simone Mancini (EMX250).

Ferruccio Zanchi, born in Florence on September 6, 2006, competed for three seasons in EMX125 and one season (2023) in EMX250. He raced the full MX2 World Championship in 2024 and earned his first Grand Prix podium this year with a third-place finish at the Castilla-La Mancha GP.

Simone Mancini, born in San Severino Marche (MC) on August 8, 2007, was runner-up in the 125cc World Championship in 2024 and also secured the bronze medal in the European EMX125 Championship that same year. A four-time Italian Motocross Champion, Mancini will compete in the European EMX250 Championship for the second consecutive year.

Paolo Ciabatti, General Manager of Ducati Corse Off-Road, said: “We are very pleased with the excellent work accomplished this year with Team Beddini and Alessandro Lupino in the Italian MX2 Championship. Our main goal was to develop the new Desmo250 MX in competition, but finishing second overall is extremely satisfying. Now we face an even more ambitious challenge, and we are grateful to have the support and professionalism of the team led by Dario and Joakin in both the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250 Championship. We are confident that Ferruccio and Simone will maximize the potential of our new bike, which will soon be available to all enthusiasts through selected Ducati dealerships.”

Dario Beddini, Team Owner, added: “We are proud to represent Ducati in the FIM MX2 Motocross World Championship. Last season allowed us to grow and gradually enter the Ducati world, learning from people of extraordinary expertise who brought the Desmo250 MX project to life, and finishing second in the Italian Pro Prestige Motocross Championship with Alessandro Lupino. Now the challenge becomes even more demanding and exciting: debuting the bike in the MX2 World Championship and the European EMX250, supporting the growth of young talents like Ferruccio and Simone, and starting a path we hope will take them to MXGP with Ducati. Being involved in the development of the Desmo250 MX, which will soon be available to all enthusiasts, is a great responsibility, and I am grateful to Ducati Corse Off-Road and Paolo Ciabatti for this opportunity. Thanks to the tremendous dedication of my team, I am confident we can achieve great results.”
