MXGP of Netherlands Qualifying Race

  • A tough qualifying race in the Netherlands for the Aruba.it - ​​Ducati Factory MX Team riders

The seventeenth round of the FIM Motocross World Championship, the Grand Prix MXGP of the Netherlands, takes place this weekend on the sandy track of Arnhem, where Antonio Cairoli debuted the Desmo450 MX bike 12 months ago. The Dutch round, the final one of the season on European soil, is also the last to be held on sandy ground.

Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini had a challenging timed practice session, finishing 22nd and 23rd respectively. Both were unable to find a good feeling for the demanding Dutch track, starting the qualifying race from an unfavorable position at the gate. After starting the race in nineteenth place, the Swiss rider, fresh from his call-up to the Swiss national team for the 78th Motocross Grand Prix of the Nations, that will be held at Ironman in USA from October 3rd to 5th, finished the moto in 20th place. The Italian performed similarly race, starting 23rd and finishing 15 seconds behind his teammate in 21st place.
