DesmoSport DucatiThe Grand Prix of the Netherlands took place this weekend at the Motorsport Park Gelderland Midden circuit in Arnhem, located in the industrial area of the Dutch city, about 100 kilometers from the capital, Amsterdam. The 1,680-meter-long sand track, which hosted the Dutch Grand Prix for the third consecutive year, was the venue for the 17th round of the 2025 MXGP World Championship.
Jeremy Seewer and Mattia Guadagnini lined up at the gate of the challenging Arnhem track for Sunday’s two races, determined to rebound from their disappointing qualifying results on Saturday, where they finished 20th and 21st, respectively.
At the beginning of the first race, Mattia made the most of the power of the #101 Desmo 450MX, quickly slotting inside the top 10 despite a difficult starting position. Jeremy, meanwhile, went down in a first-turn crash and had to restart from 35th. Finding a good pace early on, the Italian battled for tenth during the first half of the moto but faded late, eventually grabbing sixteenth. The Swiss rider, however, recovered well, breaking into the points in the closing stages to claim 19th.
In the second stanza, of the two Ducati riders, Seewer got off to the better launch, crossing the holeshot line in 16th, with Guadagnini in 21st at the opening turn. After two laps, Mattia moved into the points zone, caught his teammate in 19th on lap five, passed him shortly thereafter, and gained two more positions before ultimately securing 17th at the end of the 19-lap race, with Jeremy again finishing 19th.
The next MXGP round - the 18th of the first full season in the premier class for the Desmo450 MX - will be held in two weeks in Afyon. It marks the start of the final triple-header of the 2025 championship, which will take the Aruba.it - Ducati Factory MX Team from Türkiye to Australia, via China.
