Keep up to speed with Desmo Sport Ducati Racing in the Australian Superbike Championship!
DesmoSport Ducati
Broc Pearson and the Desmosport Ducati team were able to salvage a best of fifth place in the final race of the season in what was a challenging Australian Superbike Championship finale at The Bend Motorsports Park over November 7-9. Pearson had recorded personal best times in the lead up to racing on Sunday, but a brutal crash in the opening event had the team digging deep to place a bike on the grid for the final race. Braking hard on a white line tucked the front and sent the Desmosport machine through the gravel, snapping the swing-arm. This meant Pearson would have to adapt quickly to his spare machine and after running as high as fourth while involved in numerous battles, a fighting fifth would ultimately bookend a season that has certainly held highs and lows. Luca Durning made the big decision to step up to the Superbike class at the final round of the season, acquitting himself very well on the Desmosport Ducati Panigale V4 R as he learnt the tricky layout of The Bend. Durning finished thirteenth in both races, improving his lap times in every session to set himself up for a promising 2026. Ben Henry and the team at Desmosport Ducati would like to pass on a heartfelt thanks to all our supporters throughout the season and look forward to preparing for the challenges ahead.

Team Owner, Ben Henry: "Firstly, congrats to Josh and the McMartin team for dominating another year, certainly the best guys in the field and they deserved that win. For us, seventh. I feel like we showed plenty of promise but didn't deliver when the crunch came. It's such a tough game at the moment, it doesn't take much to find yourself down the order. Our team structure is very good, I feel like it's the best team I've ever had and the skill sets that are within the team are incredible, but it's just not quite coming together for us. So much goes into running this team that when you can't deliver it's obviously very disappointing. Disappointing for myself, my guys and the people that support me. There are some really exciting things happening over summer though, so let's just see what unfolds through December. Thanks to everyone that supports us, I'm sorry we couldn't deliver but we'll be back next year and I'm really confident we can do a good job."
Broc Pearson: "It's been a hard day with a mistake in the first race where I locked the front on the paint on the second lap. There was a lot of damage to the bike and I'm really sorry to Ben for that, he put a lot of hours into the preparation and it was a great bike this weekend. We had the speed; doing a 1:50 lap in qualifying was something I was pretty happy with but unfortunately that crash meant a DNF this morning. We got the spare bike out, got back out there and just made it happen. I was a little bit battered and bruised but I managed to get a top five to finish the year. That last race is almost the story of how our year has been; always there or thereabouts but not far enough along. I'm very thankful to have the opportunity to ride this bike and have such a great team around me. There were a lot of great moments and plenty to build off to come back next year very strong."
The process of preparing for the 2026 season begins now, with team owner Ben Henry forming plans to come out firing for round one at Phillip Island on February 20-22.
