ACTION! The 2026 season kicks off for the Ducati Lenovo Team in Thailand

The wait is over! This weekend, the first chapter of the new MotoGP season kicks off at the Chang International Circuit. This will be Ducati's 24th participation with the Desmosedici GP entrusted to two experienced Champions: Marc Márquez and Francesco Bagnaia. A duo that needs no introduction, with 12 World Championship titles across the various categories (9 in MotoGP – 7 for Márquez and 2 for Bagnaia). Expectations are high, with the Triple Crown won in 2025 to defend and the pursuit of the Ducati Lenovo Team's 100th win in the Premier class.

Buriram is a very unique track, with two very long straights well suited on the Ducati's characteristics. Leaving aside the uncertain weather and high temperatures, from 2018 to today, the red bike from Borgo Panigale has triumphed in the last three editions of the race. Martin in 2023, Pecco's memorable win in the rain in 2024 – battling with Marc – the same duel repeated last year, with Marc dominating the weekend and Pecco taking a double third (Sprint and GP).

Marc Márquez #93 Ducati Lenovo Team
"Aside from the crashes and my physical condition, we're coming from an overall positive test on this track. The race simulation ended earlier than expected, but up until then, the feeling was positive. It was on this track that I won my first GP with the Ducati Lenovo Team, one of those memories that gives you an extra boost. The first race of the season, even after so many years, is always special".

Francesco Bagnaia #63 Ducati Lenovo Team
"We're leaving behind a good preseason. We've worked well, completed all the tests, and we'll hit the track for the GP with a good base. I have a great feeling riding, there's a great atmosphere, and I'm motivated for the season. The first race is always special, and overall, this track has always suited the characteristics of the Desmosedici GP well".
