Cameron Beaubier banks some important points in a tough Barber Motorsports Park weekend

Sunnyvale, Calif., May 17, 2026 — The Quad Lock MotoAmerica Superbike field reconvened at the beautiful Barber Motorsports Park for the second round of the 2026 series with Cameron Beaubier heading the charge for the Warhorse HSBK Ducati FLo4Law team.

In a two-part race one, Beaubier ran close to Yamaha's Mathew Scholtz in the opening stance before a red flag was brought out when PJ Jacobsen crashed out.

At the restart, Beaubier cemented second place in a somewhat lonely race, his best result of the season so far, behind winner Scholtz.

Race two, however, did not go to plan as Beaubier lost the front of the factory Ducati at the treacherous Charlotte's Webb left hander at half race distance. We would remount but be classified three laps down in 17th.

It was a rough weekend for Beaubier's Warhorse HSBK Ducati FLo4Law teammate Benjamin Smith, who suffered a heavy fall on Friday exiting turn three and would be ruled out for the rest of the weekend, although he has committed to racing at Road America in two weeks' time.

In the Supersport class, star recruit Darryn Binder (Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse) continued his impressive form by claiming second place in race one on Saturday, improving one spot more on Sunday to take his second win of the season by 0.192s ahead of fellow Ducati rider Kayla Yaakov.

That win means Binder, a MotoAmerica rookie in 2026, leads the Superport title chase after three rounds (Daytona, Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsports Park) on 103 points to Josh Herrin's 99 with Tyler Scott on 85.

2026 Quad Lock MotoAmerica Superbike Championship After Round Two

P1 – Mathew Scholtz 95
P2 – Sean Dylan Kelly 61
P3 – JD Beach 49
P4 – Bobby Fong 48
P5 – Cameron Beaubier (Ducati) 47

Cameron Beaubier (Warhorse HSBK Ducati FLo4Law – #1)

“It was definitely not the day I was looking for today,” Beaubier lamented after race two at Barber. “We came out in the morning warm-up with some changes to the bike after what we learned in race one and for race two, Simone and my team gave me an incredible motorcycle. I felt the best so far this season on the Ducati this morning, and I was ready to go racing.

“I got off to a decent start but got a little shuffled back and had to pick a couple of guys off to try and track down Matty Scholtz. The bike was feeling great, but unfortunately, I just washed out the front-end going into turn four. They were quite tricky conditions, hot and slick. It was a big bummer, but I am happy the guys and I are really making some good progress with the Ducati.”

Darryn Binder (Celtic/Economy Lube + Tire/Warhorse – #70)

“I'm super happy with today, walking away with the race win,” Binder said. “Not only that, in the first part of the race before the red flag, I did my quickest lap of the race before the red flag. We are definitely making steps in the right direction and I'm really starting to gel with the bike and the team. They've been working super hard and I gave them some extra work with a big crash on Friday, so to come away with a second and a first feels great. I'm really enjoying this championship—great people, super hard racing—and I'm really excited for the next round.”

Round three of the 2026 Quad Lock MotoAmerica Superbike Championship will be held at Road America on May 29-31, 2026.
