Bridewell quietly confident ahead of Cremona

Superbike Advocates Racing is raring to go as the team travels to Northern Italy, and the Cremona Circuit, for round ten of the 2026 Superbike World Championship.

With Tommy Bridewell now confirmed to continue with Superbike Advocates Racing in WorldSBK next year, the squad is keen to make these final rounds of the 2026 season count.

Another strong performance in the latest races, which ran at France’s Magny-Cours Circuit just over a fortnight ago, puts the team in good stead for the remainder of the season’s events. Although two crashes left Bridewell worse for wear, he and his technicians worked hard across the weekend, qualifying seventh on Saturday and finishing Sunday’s Superpole race a strong sixth. Tommy was determined to compete in the weekend’s final race and was in the process of building a strong result when he unfortunately crashed in the final stages while running seventh. The incident left Bridewell with contusions and suspected concussion, though fortunately he has had a fortnight in which to rest and recover ahead of this Italian round.

Bridewell feels ready for the weekend but will need to be passed fit by the circuit doctors on his arrival at Cremona Circuit. If he receives the okay to compete, the goal for this race weekend at Cremona Circuit is to be back in the mix and fighting for important points. Located in the Lombardy region of Italy, the Cremona Circuit was inaugurated in 2011. Works completed in 2024 allowed the circuit to secure both FIM Grade B homologation and a five-year WorldSBK deal. The championship visits the Italian track for a third consecutive year in 2026. The shortest circuit on the current calendar, this technical 3.768 km anti clockwise course combines a 400-metre start/finish straight, a 885-metre back straight, and 13 corners.

“We weren’t able to test at Cremona after the Magny-Cours round because I was unfit, so we’ll be a little on the back foot heading into the round. We have some data and I competed at Cremona when WorldSBK visited the circuit for the first time, in 2024, but I’ll basically need to treat Friday as a day to get back up to speed with the track. My plan going into this tenth round is perhaps to take a little bit of a step back to try and take a couple of steps forward. I believe we have the pace and speed to achieve great things, but I also know I need to be patient and not try to force that. I’ll do my best to enjoy it, and I’m looking forward to continuing to build ahead of the last rounds of the season.”
