Run in association with Bennetts and Ducati UK, the California Superbike School's Women's Day was held at Oulton Park on April 30th. This ladies only event was designed to help encourage more women to get involved in motorcycling whilst improving riding skills for both track and road.
The day followed the success of California Superbike School women’s only event held at Brands Hatch last year, and was run at a discounted price for those riding a Ducati and Bennetts policy holders.
Amongst the students was Claire Lomas MBE , who used the experience to brush up on her riding skills ahead of her upcoming fundraising lap around the same circuit during the next British Superbikes round onboard her modified Ducati SuperSport S.
Izzy De Montet Guerin, Riding Coach
"It's been a real pleasure and privilege to be part of it. It's fantastic to meet so many like-minded people. It's brilliant that we see so many more on track now and Oulton Park has been a brilliant circuit."
Gary Adshead, Chief Riding Coach EMEAI & Seminarist
"It's been a great day. The students have been fabulous in the classroom. I've been out on track watching them practice their drills and they've all been able to apply them. There's been lots of happy smiling faces around on the students and that's always a good sign."
Debbie Wiggins, Head of Marketing Ducati UK
"It's been absolutely fantastic. Thanks to Bennetts and thanks to California Superbike School for putting on an absolutely amazing day. I've done my Level 3 and I have learnt so much today, feel like it's improved my riding. I've also fallen in love - with the Panigale 959!"
Founded by the legendary Keith Code in 1980, the California Superbike School offers a step-by-step method of technique oriented rider training in the art of cornering motorcycles. The four California Superbike School training levels are completed in order with each of the first three levels presenting precise technical riding skills, taught the old fashioned way - one step at a time. Each skill builds upon the last to create a complete package of control and confidence.
