Superbike Advocates Racing prepares for the penultimate WorldSBK round in Portugal

Superbike Advocates Racing and rider Tommy Bridewell look to the final rounds of the 2026 WorldSBK Championship with confidence. The penultimate round will be staged this weekend at Estoril Circuit in Portugal, before the season finale plays out the following weekend at Spain’s Jerez Circuit.

Still in what is officially his rookie WorldSBK season, Tommy has not visited Estoril before. This adds another level of the challenge to the race weekend - one that the British rookie is happy to take on.

Superbike Advocates Racing is very keen to make these final rounds of the 2026 season count. A tough tenth round, which concluded at Cremona Circuit less than two weeks ago, did not bring the desired results but pushes Bridewell and his technicians to continue to work hard and fully exploit the high-performance Ducati Panigale V4 R to round out the year on a high note.

Located near the coastal town of Estoril and just 30 km from Portugal’s capital, Lisbon, the Circuito do Estoril was inaugurated in 1972. Prior to the construction of the Portimão circuit in 2008, Estoril was the largest circuit in Portugal. The track makes its eighth appearance on the WorldSBK calendar and has previously hosted both Formula 1 and MotoGP events. The 4.182-km circuit features a sweeping straight of almost 1 km, along with four left-hand and nine right-hand corners. The Estoril race weekend (9-11 October) will be immediately followed by the season finale at Spain’s Jerez Circuit (16-18 October).

Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates Racing #46)
“I’m really looking forward to these last two back-to-back rounds. Estoril is a circuit I’ve never been to, and I don’t really know what to expect, to be honest. I imagine it’ll be something of a reset, or a reminder that I am in fact still a rookie this season. I’ll need to get my head round the track, and then build into the weekend, but I’m not expecting too much. That said, I think we’ve had a great run so far and we’d like to finish the season on a high. I’m confident that we can and that the team will give me all I need to adapt and learn the circuit as fast as possible. Like I say, I’m looking forward to it but am also sad in a way - it’s that time of the year again and it seems to have come round so fast!”
