Rome/Borgo Panigale, Italy, 14 July 2026 – Ducati took part today in the event "Moto d'Italia – Culture Beyond the Track", held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The sports diplomacy initiative aims to promote motorcycling as an expression of Italian industrial, technological, sporting and cultural excellence, and as a tool to promote Italy internationally.
In this context, Ducati is one of the brands that has contributed the most to making Italian motorcycling recognised and appreciated around the world. With five MotoGP Riders' World Titles, four of them won between 2022 and 2025, and six consecutive Constructors' World Titles, the Company has established itself not only at the highest level of international motorcycle racing, but also as a leading company in the two-wheel industry, with a commercial presence in more than 90 countries and a community of enthusiasts across the world.
The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister of Italy and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Antonio Tajani, Ducati CEO Claudio Domenicali, Ducati Lenovo Team rider and two-time MotoGP World Champion with Ducati Francesco Bagnaia, and a delegation from Ducati and Ducati Corse. Other participants included Carmelo Ezpeleta (MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group), Matteo Zoppas (Italian Trade Agency – ICE, joining via video link), Giovanni Copioli (Italian Motorcycling Federation – FMI), Mariano Roman (ANCMA) and Paolo Magri (EICMA).
"Being at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today is an important opportunity to celebrate Ducati's Centenary in a context that recognises the role of motorcycling in promoting the image of our Country around the world, both on and off the track. Ducati is deeply connected to its roots and, at the same time, is able to innovate, compete at the highest level and create emotions through motorcycles that have become objects of desire for entire generations. We are very proud to be part of this great Italian story and to make a significant contribution to exports in the Made in Italy two-wheel sector, with more than 80% of our revenue generated abroad," said Claudio Domenicali, Ducati CEO. "Along this journey, Pecco has been one of our most extraordinary representatives: with his talent, professionalism and his ability to face every challenge with commitment and respect, he perfectly represents the values that distinguish Ducati and the sport of our Country."
As further recognition of the role of sport in promoting Italy around the world, at the end of the event Francesco Bagnaia was presented with the Sports Diplomacy Ambassador plaque, a recognition dedicated to athletes who, through their achievements and the values they represent, contribute to strengthening Italy's image internationally. The ceremony also featured the display of the Desmosedici GP26, raced by the Ducati Lenovo Team rider in the MotoGP World Championship, together with Nicolò Bulega's Panigale V4 R, the highest expression of production-derived racing motorcycles, and the Superleggera V4 Centenario Tricolore, the most extreme road-legal Ducati ever built, created to celebrate Ducati's Centenary and produced in a limited edition of just 100 units, that stands out for its exclusive livery inspired by the 750 F1, winner of the Battle of the Twins at Daytona in 1986 with Marco Lucchinelli.
The event also provided the opportunity to present the docu-series "Moto d'Italia – Culture Beyond the Track", which tells the story of the achievements, the territories and the expertise that make the Italian motorcycle industry one of the most recognisable expressions of Made in Italy. The series was produced by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in collaboration with MotoGP Sports Entertainment Group, ANCMA, EICMA, the Italian Motorcycling Federation (FMI), the Italian Trade Agency (ICE) and the leading sporting and industrial players in the sector.
