Rested and recharged, Superbike Advocates Racing is all set for WorldSBK round nine

Superbike Advocates Racing is gearing up for action at the historic Nevers Magny-Cours Circuit in France, where round nine of the 2026 Superbike World Championship is set to take place this coming weekend.

With a good six weeks separating the upcoming round from the last races, the Anglo-Australian team and rookie WorldSBK rider Tommy Bridewell are now eager to get back on track. Tommy has continued to focus on his training over the summer break and feels fit and fired up as he and the team prepare to take on the final events of the 2026 season.

Round eight, which played out at Donington Park (UK) in mid-July, brought more strong results for the team. Competing at his home track and supported by his many fans, Bridewell matched his previous best race result, crossing the line a fantastic fifth in Saturday’s race. He further boosted his points haul with a P7 in the Superpole race and now lies fifteenth in the championship standings, with four rounds still to play out.

Bridewell has completed some unofficial training at the Magny-Cours track in recent weeks, but has never competed there before, so he’ll be looking to better familiarise himself with the layout aboard his Ducati Panigale V4 R race bike in Friday’s practice sessions. The French track combines fast, flowing sections and slow hairpins, and measures 4.411 kilometres. Running in a clockwise direction, it is made up of seventeen turns, some of which are based on famous corners from other circuits. The weekend’s forecast looks favourable but conditions in this region of France can be changeable, so the team will need to be ready for anything.

“I’m looking forward to getting back to work at Magny-Cours. It’s been a long summer break, which is something I’m not really used to if I’m honest! I’ve been training hard and staying fit and have been out on the practice bike a couple of times. But there’s not been a huge amount of riding, so I’m probably a little more anxious going into this next round, because we had good momentum heading into the last round, while this feels more like the start of the season again. I hope we can hit the ground running and continue from where we left off at Donington, but let’s see. We need to be ready to take the weekend in our stride.”
