Bridewell completes a very useful two-day test at Misano

On the back of a very positive Czech WorldSBK round at Autodrom Most, Superbike Advocates Racing and rider Tommy Bridewell travelled straight to Italy’s Misano World Circuit - Marco Simoncelli for an important and very constructive two-day test on May 20-21.

Straight out on track on Wednesday morning, alongside the best part of the WorldSBK field, Bridewell put in around 67 laps during the day, setting a best time of 1’33.543. Thursday brought more positive sensations and feedback, as the team made the most of this precious dry track time. The work involved testing new front fork material and setting from Öhlins, chassis options, and electronics. Able to explore solutions that cannot be tested during a race weekend due to time limitations, the squad now has a clearer idea as it prepares for upcoming races at Aragón and, in mid-June, at the Misano track. Tommy completed another 36 laps on day two, successful building on his pace and performance (1’33.059).

Enjoying warm, sunny weather from start to finish, team and rider were able to complete almost all their scheduled work over the course of the two days and are satisfied with results. Superbike Advocates Racing will be back in action on 29-31 May, for round six of the WorldSBK Championship at Spain’s Motorland Aragón.

Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates Racing #46)
“I’d say it’s been a successful test. Basically, we’ve been working through things that we’d been wanting to experiment with during race weekends but that we don’t really have the opportunity to test while racing. We didn’t have a huge amount of material to test and were really just focusing on the feeling I have on the bike. I think we’ve certainly taken a step there and I felt more comfortable riding, and now we’ll take this knowledge into the next round at Aragón.”
