4 Year WarrantyRound five of the 2026 Superbike World Championship is now in play at Autodrom Most in Czechia and it’s been an encouraging opening day for Superbike Advocates Racing and rider Tommy Bridewell, who is tasked with learning a track he’s never seen until now.
The action got underway mid-morning, with the WorldSBK field heading out for the first of three practices. Bridewell is riding the Most track for the first time this weekend, so his focus during this first session was on building confidence and getting to grips with a layout that is particularly technical. Despite a lack of previous track knowledge, the British rider was already able to make inroads during this initial phase, gradually lowering his times. Following a mid-session red flag following a crash for another rider, the Superbike Advocates Racing rider completed this opening session in nineteenth position with a time of 1’32.822.
Friday’s second practice proved equally useful and ran in similarly cool conditions to the morning’s session. Immediately shaving off half a second with respect to his FP1 best, Tommy made several short exits as he worked with his technicians to adjust the setup of his Ducati Panigale V4R to suit this winding track. Running mid-field for a good part of this 45-minute practice, Bridewell placed nineteenth in the day’s aggregate standings thanks to a fastest time of 1’32.041, set in the final minutes of FP2.
Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advoctes Racing #46)
“A trickier day. Learning the track was the main focus of course, and it’s always difficult because you’re out on track with guys who’ve ridden here before on bikes they know really well. So, for me, it was all about learning… I’m happy with my lap time with respect to the fastest rider; a 1.3 second gap is positive at a circuit I’ve never been to, but position-wise it’s disappointing and I obviously expect a lot more. It’s clear from the data where I’m losing with respect to the other Ducati riders, and it’s really in three key areas. If I can fix those, it would give me about 0.6 of a second, so we’ll keep working and hopefully be that much closer tomorrow.”
