Devitt Insurance X Vanoni Racing conquer a fifth consecutive Flat Track UK Championship

The iconic Greenfield Dirt Track hosted the final round of the 2025 DTRA Hooligans Championship, and we travelled there leading the scoreboard with Jacob James, hoping to wrap up the title. This track has always been a benchmark for us: the bikes ride well here and we have a strong record with six wins over the years.

Jacob started in strong form in the heats, always looking comfortable on an impeccably prepared track. He’s jelled with the Ducati Scrambler 1100 seamlessly, understanding the strong point of the bike and getting into its operating window, which is narrower than the 800 (but very effective).

After qualifying in 2nd place for the final, he very quickly took the lead in the second lap and pulled a commanding lead on Alan Mickel who was in second place. Jacob never looked back and won by 0.9 seconds over Richard Jaipin in 2nd place.

Skye sacrificed her practice performance to carry out some components testing, with a view toward next round, showing true grit and team spirit.

Nonetheless she still maintained excellent speed, but couldn’t fine tune her Ducati Scrambler 800 for ultimate pace.

That sacrifice came at the cost of qualifying position, where she only got a 3rd place for the final: on a short track with a strong opposition is a huge disadvantage but she salvaged a 4th place, which still guaranteed her the 3rd place in the Championship.

The Championship therefore passes from Skye Adams to Jacob James and we’re delighted that it remains within the Devitt X Vanoni Racing Team for a 5th year running.

We’re extremely proud of this accomplishment and we like to thank all people involved, especially Devitt Insurance and Ducati UK for the support through the years. Also a huge thanks to our riders: they never hold back and always turn up with a winning mentality.

Jacob James
“Great result as we lead the Championship from Round 1 and won every race on our way to the top prize. Swapped bikes to the Scrambler 1100 mid season and made it work. Feels great to win my first DTRA Championship.”

Skye Adams
“Well done to Jacob for the win, it has been a challenging season but I’m happy with 3rd for this year. Will be back next year to challenge for the top spot again.”

International Woman’s Race

As per every year we try to get a wild card to race the Ducati Scrambler 800 at one of the rounds to give the opportunity to test the big bikes in real race conditions. The DTRA International Woman’s Race proved just the right occasion.

This year we elected Erin Dyer as our wild card. As a DTRA regular she races in Vintage and Minibikes, where she’s not stranger on the podium.

Her performance on the Vintage especially caught our eye, she hardly put a foot wrong and has a very effective racing style.

Going straight into racing with only 2 practice sessions didn’t faze her and with two 7th and a 5th in the heats she qualified with the 6th best score for the A Final.

The final result was a 6th on the finish line. Progress through the day was what impressed everyone the most. Erin took almost 2 seconds off her starting time to find a 16.7 in the final against a field of 450, which have the upper hand over the much heavier Twins.

Erin Dyer
“It was great to take part in the first DTRA International Woman’s race aboard the Devitt X Vanoni Ducati Scrambler 800. It’s a beast of a bike, much bigger than anything I’ve ridden before but to say I was blown away by how well the bike performs is an understatement! Going against 450’s made it a little tricky with the different racing lines on track but the power of the 800 gave me that little extra to be able to hold my own.”

With the season now finished, work on 2026 has already begun with lots of exciting news in the pipeline. Watch this space.
