4 Year WarrantySuperbike Advocates Racing and Tommy Bridewell are on track at Spain’s Motorland Aragón for round six of the 2026 Superbike World Championship.
The action kicked off on Friday morning with the first free practice session, which ran in hot, sunny conditions. Contrary to previous rounds, Bridewell is able to rely on previous track knowledge this weekend, which meant he could get straight down to the business of setting up his Panigale V4R. Working systemically with his technicians, the British rider made rapid progress already during this first phase. Despite a brief interruption following a crash for another rider, Tommy and his team maximised the 45-minute session, putting in a best of 1’49.782 to place ninth, just eight tenths from the front.
Higher track temperatures in the afternoon made for a more challenging second practice (air temp. 35°C, track temp. 53°C). With the hot asphalt preventing most of the SBK field from improving on its earlier references, Tommy and his squad focused on race preparation, making refinements to the technical setup that can hopefully be of benefit if the weekend’s races run in similar conditions. A strong first day saw Bridewell position ninth in the combined standings thanks to his fastest time of FP1.
The squad will be back out at Aragón tomorrow for a final free practice, Superpole qualifying, and the first of the weekend’s races.
Tommy Bridewell (Superbike Advocates Racing #46)
“A positive day for us for sure. We’ve not made a huge amount of changes to the bike since the Misano test, it just seems to be working in a good window. The feeling’s generally good. We still need to take a small step with the high temperatures, but I don’t think we’re too far away and have definitely made a good start today.”
